Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Puppetry harness the Words of Creation, projecting and distorting their words to amplify their powers. Manipulating the origin of sounds and mimicking the auditory world around them these Bards create illusion and wonder in their performances, causing both audience and foe to question their senses.

Level 3: Ventriloquist

Sound Substitution. You are able to naturally disguise your voice, imitating any voice or sound that you have heard at least once. You have Advantage on any Charisma Deception, Intimidation, Performance or Persuasion  check you make that involves this ability.

Voice Projection. Your voice can be projected to originate anywhere within 30ft of you, and do not need to move your mouth or any part of your body to do so.

Puppet Integration. When you join the College of Puppetry you gain proficiency in Tinker's Tools and Woodcarver's Tools.

Level 3: Puppeteer

You gain the ability to attach invisible magical strings onto tiny objects allowing you to subtly manipulate them; moving them up to 30ft per turn, within a 30ft radius around yourself with no action required. The complexity of the item determines the level of control you can exert; you may pick up or throw a rock, set the hands on a clock to a desired time or articulate the limbs and body of a puppet. The distance becomes 60ft at level 14.

If a puppet or marionette which you built is controlled in this way it can be your Spellcasting Focus and gains the following; hit points equal three times your bardic level and AC equal to 13+ your Charisma modifier. It uses your ability scores for saving throws and ability checks and is immune to effects targeting Int, Wis and Cha. You can cast spells with the range of Touch or Self through it, or give an ally the Help action.

Level 6: Pulling Strings

When an enemy you can see moves within 5 feet of a Puppet you are controlling,  you can take a Reaction and expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to reduce its AC by the number rolled on the Inspiration dice until its next turn.

Additionally, the target must roll a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC, on a fail it's movement speed is reduced to 0.

Level 6: String Manipulation

You always have the Spider Climb and Hold Person Spells prepared.

You may cast Spider Climb at second level, without using a spell slot, a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, resetting after a Long Rest

Targets who fail the saving throw of your Hold Person have disadvantage on their subsequent saves taken at the end of their turn, as the magical strings bind tighter.

Level 14: Puppet Master

Vocal Resonance. Your voice can now be projected to originate anywhere within 60ft of you, and be heard up to 100ft away if desired.

Ambidextrous. You may now use two puppets or marionettes at one time.
