Base Class: Warlock
The chromatic dragons are among the most fearsome creatures in the multiverse. The evil children of Tiamat are often vain, cruel and capricious, using their immense elemental and mystical powers to crush their foes or bend them to their will. Their ambitions are boundless, and most seek to dominate all that they behold
Some of these powerful beings employ mortal servants to do their bidding, spreading word of their greatness, gathering tribute or accomplishing other ends that the dragon does not wish to bother with themselves.
you are one such mortal instrument of one of these mighty beings. Your pact empowers you with a portion of a dragons own might, granting you the power to wield the elements like your patron, influence others with their imposing presence, and protect yourself as with a dragons own tough hide.
Level 3: Draconic Spells
Your pact guarantees that you always have certain spells prepared. My relentless incompetence prevents me from figuring out how to add a proper expanded spell list, so you all get to view this feature in list format.
3rd Level: Chromatic Orb, Command, Dragon’s Breath, Suggestion
5th Level: Fear, Fly
7th Level: Polymorph, Greater Invisibility
9th Level: Legend Lore, Summon Dragon
Level 3: Draconic Affinity
Starting at 3rd level, you choose one damage type from among the following: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning or poison Whenever you deal damage with an attack or spell, you may change it to the chosen damage type.
Additionally, your patrons might grants you a tougher hide, giving you an AC of 13 + your charisma modifier when you are not wearing any armor or wielding a shield.
Finally, you gain proficiency in the intimidation skill if you do not have it already, and you may choose a different skill from among those available to warlocks if you already are proficient in intimidation.
Level 3: Elemental Breath
You gain the ability to exhale energy as the dragons do. Whenever you take the attack or magic action on your turn, you can exhale energy in a 15ft cone or a 30ft line as a bonus action. Each creature in the area must make a dexterity saving throw. Roll a number of d6’s equal to your proficiency bonus. On a failure, a creature takes damage equal to the amount rolled, or half as much on a success. The damage is the same type you chose for your elemental affinity.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma bonus, and you regain all expenses uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 6: Draconic Resilience
Starting at level 6, You gain resistance to the damage type you chose with your draconic affinity feature.
Additionally, you also restore up to two expended uses of your elemental breath whenever you use your magical cunning feature. You can gain this benefit once before you must take a long rest.
Level 10: Dragon’s Roar
Starting at 10th level, you learn to recreate the terror of a dragons own fearful presence. As a magic action, you can cause any number of creatures in a 30ft emanation to make a wisdom saving throw. On a failure, a creature is frightened until the end of your next turn. You can use this feature once before you must take a short or long rest, or you can expend a use of your elemental breath to restore your use of this feature.
Level 10: Dragon’s Hide
Your patron endows you with the endurance of a dragon. Whenever you use your elemental breath feature, you gain temporary hit points equal to the amount rolled.
Level 14: Dragon’s Fury
Your pact deepens, and your patron empowers your elemental breath. The area increases to a 30ft cone or a 60ft line. Additionally, you may deal additional damage equal to your charisma modifier to any creature affected by your elemental breath feature.
Additionally, whenever you cast a spell using a pact slot, your next use of elemental breath before the end of your next turn doesn’t consume a use of that feature.
