Base Class: Warlock
Dragons are one of the most remarkable beasts in all of creation. They can live for eons, growing immense in size, gaining unimaginable knowledge, and becoming more and more powerful. These ancient creatures are more in line with the various gods and deities of the realm, and tend not to bother with the pitiful affairs of mortals and lesser beings. However, whether it be due to a sense of honor or duty, a desire for chaos and stirring the pot, or simply an escape from boredom, some dragons, seem to take a particular interest in the lives of a select few lucky adventurers. Those who have made pacts with one of these Great Wyrms have often gone on to do many great things.
Wyrm Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Wyrm Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Chromatic Orb, Command, Aganazzar's Scorcher, Dragon's Breath |
| 5 | Fireball, Fly |
| 7 | Elemental Bane, Fire Shield |
| 9 | Bigby's Hand (Takes the form of a massive dragon's claw), Summon Dragon |
Wyvern Fire
At 3rd level, your mighty patron bestows to you the great power that is synonymous with dragons -- The Dragon Breath. You now have a pool of d8s that you may draw upon equal to twice your Warlock level.
As an action, you may consume a number of d8s from your pool up to your Warlock level and roll them. You exhale a blast of energy in either a 20-foot cone or a 40-foot line that is 5 feet wide (your choice). Choose a damage type: acid, cold, fire, lightning, thunder, or poison.
Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Warlock spell casting DC, taking damage equal to the total from the d8s rolled on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. You regain all d8s in your pool at the end of a long rest.
The Ancient Voice
Dragons were among the first creatures to speak language, and are famously skilled conversationalists. At 3rd level, you are granted these same talents. You learn to speak Draconic if you didn't already know it. You also become proficient with both persuasion and intimidation. At 6th level, you gain expertise with those skills.
Draconic Fortitude
Dragons are indomitable. Their resilience is legendary. At 6th level, your patron has passed on some of that almighty endurance to you. Whenever you would make a saving throw, you can choose to make that saving throw with advantage. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus per long rest.
Dragon's Dance
Dragons are able to perform a mystical dance that invigorates the body and boosts the spirit. At 10th level, your patron has entrusted you with the knowledge of this dance. As a bonus action, you may perform the Dragon's Dance. Upon performing the dance, you gain temporary hit points equal to three times your Warlock level and for 1 minute, you gain the following:
- A fly speed equal to your walking speed.
- A bonus 15 feet of walking speed.
- A bonus 5 feet melee attack range.
- A bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to your Proficiency bonus.
You may perform this dance once per long rest. You can also expend a Pact Magic slot to regain a use of this feature.
Form of the Dragon
At 14th level, your great patron has entrusted you with the ability to become one of its own, if only momentarily. Once per long rest, you may cast Shapechange without consuming a spell slot and without any material components.
When you cast Shapechange this way, you may only become a creature within the Dragon category. If the form you take is that of a legendary creature, you cannot use any legendary actions and/or legendary resistances.
