Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Unburdened fist have sworn to never wield a weapon. For some, this is in pursuit of pure mastery of the body, or to prove their prowess. For others, it's a symbolic vow in protest of violence, or even a way to atone for some past sin.
1.5 Version brings a balance update, mostly dialing in some over-tuned features. I'm really interested in feedback especially suggestions on how I could make sure this is a well balanced option next to other subclasses. Thanks!
Fists of Fury
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your unarmed damage die no longer increases as you gain Monk levels. Instead, at levels 5, 11, and 17, your Flurry of Blows gains an additional attack. These extra attacks are lost if you wield a weapon other than your bare hands.
Celerity
When you role for Initiative, you roll with advantage. In addition, if you are surprised, you may spend 1 ki to no longer be surprised.
Dancer's Grace
At 11th level, you gain a +1 bonus to your Dexterity Modifier. This bonus increases to +2 at Monk level 20.
Unbound
Beginning at 17th level whenever you would take the attack action on your turn or during an opportunity attack, you may opt to use a Flurry of Blows instead of your regular attack. Using Flurry of Blows in this manner does not consume Ki.
