Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Oath of Mortals subclass

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Glamour Sight. As an action you may expend a use of your channel divinity to imbue yourself with mortal resilience. For 1 hour you can see through illusions, see a shapechangers true form and see invisibility.

Blessed Bulwark. As a bonus action you may expend a use of your channel divinity and choose one creature within 60 feet of you, other than yourself. The target gains a +2 bonus to their AC for 1 minute. Whilst a creature has your blessed bulwark benefits, your attack rolls deal an additional 1d4 force damage. You can change the recipient of this blessing as a bonus action on your turn to another creature within range.

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Chivalric Aura

When you use your action to perform your lay on hands, you can choose to target any creatures within the radius of your aura of protection, up to a number equal to your charisma modifier. When you do so, you may split the amount of restored hit points amongst any of the chosen creatures. If a creature gains at least 5 hit points this way, you may end the frightened or charmed condition on that creature.

When a creature gains the benefits of your Blessed Bulwark channel divinity, you can choose to have your aura of protection emanate from that creature rather than yourself, for as long as they retain the benefits of bulwark (no action required)

Smiting Fellowship

When a creature you can see within the radius of your aura of protection hits with a melee weapon attack, you may use your reaction to imbue their attack with the power of smite by expending a spell slot to deal additional force damage to the target. The extra damage is 3d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. If your aura is emanating from another creature when you take this reaction, that creature may also use its reaction to make one weapon or cantrip attack against a target within their range.

Iron Crusade

By 20th level, you have earned the ability to rally your companions in a crusade against the otherworldly. As a bonus action, you may invoke an iron crusade within yourself and a number of creatures you can see equal to your Charisma modifier, which lasts for 10 minutes or until you end it. For the duration, you and all affected creatures gain the following benefits:

  • Crusade Aura. All creatures empowered by your iron crusade are considered within your Aura of Protection, and gain the benefits of your Glamour Sight Channel Divinity.
  • Bane of the Otherworld. An empowered creature's weapon attacks count as being magical, silvered and cold iron for the purpose of resistances.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th level spell slot to use it again.
