Messenger/Herald Domain

A domain for those who follow a Messenger God such as Hermes, or for those who's god is a Herald.

Bonus Cantrip

At 1st level, you learn the message cantrip.

Bonus Proficiencies

At 1st level, you learn two languages of your choice. You also become proficient with calligrapher’s supplies.

Channel Divinity: Copy Documentation

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to copy documentation, texts, and scrolls.

Over the course of a minute, you can duplicate a number of pages of text equal to your Cleric level. You must supply the raw materials necessary to make the copy of the document. This ability can not be used to copy spells into a spellbook, however it can be used to create a copy of a spell scroll provided you expend gold as if you were crafting the scroll.

Channel Divinity: Curse of Babel

From 6th level you can interfere with a creatures ability to speak coherently and cast certain spells.

As an action, you can present your holy symbol in an attempt to affect the language centre of a target creature. The creature must pass an Intelligence saving throw or be cursed for the duration.

On a failed save, the affected creature loses all ability to speak and understand language correctly. Whilst under the effect of this curse, an affected creature cannot give verbal commands or instruction to other creatures (overriding the effect of the Tongues spell and other similar magics or effects which would allow other creatures to converse with the affected creature) and if the target creature is a spellcaster then it must pass a spellcasting ability check against your spell save DC each time it tries to cast a spell with a verbal component before the effect ends. On a failed check the spell fails and the spell slot is lost.

At the end of each of the target's turns, the target must make an Intelligence saving throw. If the target succeeds on three of these saves, it is no longer affected by this curse, and the effects end. If the target fails three of these saves, the target is affected by the curse until an hour has passed.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Winged Traveller

At 17th level, you have a flying speed equal to your current walking speed whenever you are not underground or indoors.
