Base Class: Rogue
As a Giantsbane Rogue, you have learned how to even the odds against towering foes. Through grit and determination you can bring down the biggest and toughest of beasts.
The Bigger They Are
At level 3, you learn how to maintain a grapple on foes that greatly outweigh you. When you succeed on a Grapple against a target more than one size category larger than you, you can Mount them instead. A creature you have Mounted counts as Grappled for all related effects except having their speed reduced to zero and being Movable. If they are one size category larger than you, their speed is reduced by half. If two sizes, one quarter. They can dismount you the same way they would escape a grapple.
You also gain a climb speed equal to your movement speed. If your foe can be Mounted, you can climb on them while maintaining your Mount. They are considered rough terrain if they are hostile to you and not incapacitated.
Rough And Tumble
Also at level 3, you gain a new way to use your Sneak Attack; you don’t need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature you have grappled or Mounted.
You also gain proficiency in medium armor and shields, and can use Sneak Attack with weapons you have proficiency in, even if they are not Finesse.
Grab The Bull By The Horns
At level 9, you learn how to manipulate the weight of your foes to your advantage. If you succeed on a Grapple against a target you have mounted, you make the target Movable until the end of your turn. You use the target’s movement speed as your own that turn.
Slip The Guard
At level 13, if a target you have Grappled or Mounted fails an attempt to escape, it provokes an Opportunity Attack from you.
The Harder They Fall
At level 17, you can Shove creatures up to two size categories larger than you. If you succeed and cause it to have the Prone condition, you inflict bludgeoning damage equal to your Sneak Attack dice.
