Base Class: Bard
Followers of the College of Pride are a strange bunch indeed. Unphased by the truth of mortality, these people spend years training to be the most elite of the elite in terms of confidence and magical power. What they lack in insight and wisdom is made up for in practical experience and talent. All followers of the College of Pride are from rich bloodlines; not in wealth, but in magical and martial ability, and it is their pride in their standing that allows them to look down on others.
Level 3: Proud Disposition
As a part of your training, you learn to control your mentality, becoming immune to propaganda and other forms of even magical influence, for better or worse. At third level, you are immune to the frightened and charmed condition, and non-magical means of convincing you of something are ineffective, should you choose for them to be. In addition, you have disadvantage on insight checks, as a consequence of your disdain for the thinking of other people.
In addition, your bardic inspirations can be used on any creature. If you use the inspiration on anyone but yourself (or another College of Pride Bard, if you so choose), the roll can only be subtracted, instead of added to it. You choose when the inspiration is used, instead of the targeted creature.
Level 6: Unflinching Inspiration
Your power is so amazing that your success and their failure are all but factual. When a creature adds or subtracts one of your Bardic Inspiration dice to a roll, and the roll fails, the creature must keep the die.
Stubborn Resistance
The very force of your personality protects your body from physical harm. As an action, you may place a magical barrier of pride, a manifestation of your prideful belief that you cannot even be scratched upon your body. The next time you would be subjected to a harmful effect or damage, you may choose for the effect/damage to be negated against you. This effect does not stack and lasts a number of minutes equal to your bard level. If you use a spell slot to use it after it's been expended, it instead lasts a number of hours equal to half the spell slot expended, rounded down (1 is rounded to 0)
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot.
Level 14: Devastating Power
You have unparalleled magical talent, which you have learned to build up into a powerful attack. At the start of your turn, you can choose to use this ability. Your turn ends, and you talk, yell, or otherwise make loud noise as your magical energy gathers, which can be heard up to 500ft away. For the next minute, you can use your action to fire a beam of pure magical energy in a line, expending spell slots to empower it. The line starts as a 5-foot-wide, 50-foot-long beam, and for each level of spell slot invested, it increases by 5ft for every 2 levels in width, and 10ft per singular level in length.
Creatures caught in the beam must make a Constitution saving throw of your choice (using your spell save DC), taking damage equal to a roll of your inspiration die (not expended) times your bard level + number of spell slots expended (not level) on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save.
Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest or expend a spell slot of 7th level or higher to use this feature again.
