Monk
Base Class: Monk

Way of the Mithril Current focuses on making a lot of attacks that do not hit very hard but wear down your opponent the more attacks you throw at them, successful or not. It revolves around the Mithril Current Stance which alters Step of the Wind and has interactions with Flurry of Blows to allow the two to be used in conjunction. It sacrifices potential damage for assured damage, significantly weakening the martial arts dice. With this subclass you will be able to move quickly and freely about the battlefield slowly eroding your opponents' health.

Level 3: Mithril Current Stance

At 3rd level you strike rapidly but not necessarily hard and your movements are unimpeded. Your Martial Arts die is 1d4 and will always be 1d4 and any monk weapons you wield will deal 1d4 base weapon damage furthermore you do not add your ability modifiers to the damage of your attacks. You may make ranged attacks with unarmed strikes at range 20ft/60ft, dealing Force or Cold damage with such attacks. You gain proficiency with Dexterity saving throws.

Your Step of the Wind becomes Mithril Current Stance (this replaces Step of the Wind and alters Flurry of Blows):

You may enter Mithril Current Stance by spending 1 Ki point as a bonus action at the start of your turn or as part of rolling for Initiative as a reaction. While in Mithril Current Stance you count as having taken the Dash action, your jump distance is doubled, and you are not effected by difficult terrain. You may spend 1 Ki point as a reaction to an enemy attacking you to take both the Disengage and Dodge actions, this lasts for one round,.

You may spend 1 Ki point when activating Mithril Current Stance to also activate Flurry of Blows.

At the beginning of your turn you may spend your bonus action to maintain Mithril Current Stance for no additional cost, this including having Flurry of Blows active (so you may spend 2 Ki to activate both and they remain active as long as you keep using your bonus action to maintain the stance)

Level 6: Raging River

At 6th level while Mithril Current Stance gain a bonus to attacks equal to your Wisdom modifier. You may spend 1 Ki point at the start of your turn as part of the bonus action to maintain Mithril Current Stance to increase the number of attacks you make as part of a Flurry of Blows by 1. This effect can stack up to a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus but 1 Ki point must be spent at the start of your turn on this effect or you lose one stack of this effect at the end of your turn.

Additionally as long as you have 1 Ki point remaining damage you cause with monk abilities, unarmed strikes, or monk weapons bypass all damage resistance.

Level 11: Endless Eroding Rapids

At 11th level while in Mithril Current Stance when you attack a target (you need not hit) they take your martial arts die as damage at the beginning of their turn, this stacks up to a number of dice equal to your proficiency bonus. After they take damage from Endless Eroding Rapids reduce the stacks by one. Damage from this effect bypasses resistances and immunities. You may spend 1 Ki point as a reaction to a target taking damage from this effect to double the amount of stacks they currently have (after a stack falls off) up to twice the normal limit and the stack limit for that enemy is doubled for one minute (this doubling of the limit can only occur once).

Special: Critical strikes cause two stacks to be applied and the stack limit you double for a number of rounds equal to the critical damage dealt (this doubling of stack limit stacks with the above doubling effect for a total of 4x the normal stack limit). If stacks still remain over the current limit when this effect from a critical strike wears off, the excess stacks fall off and deal their damage immediately.

Level 17: Dance of the Mithril Tsunami

At 17th level while Mithril Current Stance is active whenever you hit a target you increase your speed by 5ft for 1 minute, stacking up to double your normal movement speed. Once per short rest you may spend 1 Ki point at the start of your turn as part of maintaining Mithril Current Stance and for the rest of the round every time you attack a target you may make an additional attack at a different target (or additional attack per triggering attack so a total of double the normal amount of attacks you could make), this attack may be a ranged attack or you may move and make an unarmed strike, the movement does not provoke Attacks of Opportunity. You apply one stack of Endless Eroding Rapids to all targets you hit in the round round per additional attack you make as part of Dance of the Mithril Tsunami (bypassing stack limit) and when your turn ends targets immediately take damage from Endless Eroding Rapids without decreasing the stack count and they have one permanent stack of Endless Eroding Rapids applied to them (this can be removed with Remove Curse, Greater Restoration, or Wish). You may spend 5 ki points to regain the use of this ability.

Additionally, at all times your movement speed cannot be reduced in any way (other than death or the loss of temporary movement speed increases) and you may always use actions to take the Dash action even if you would normally be denied actions, you may also move normally while prone. Whenever you take the dash action you gain a fly speed equal to your movement speed though you must end your movement on a surface that can support your wight or you fall at the end of your turn.
