Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You have spent time honing your gunslinger abilities and combined them with a sprinkle of magic. You have the ability to enhance your shooting by shooting an ally first. Some may call you a traitor for shooting them in the back, but those who appreciate your prowess can benefit from your strange ability.

Firearm Prowess

When you pick this subclass at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in firearms. In addition, you gain a fell bullet die which starts as a d6 and increases as you gain levels in this subclass. Whenever you deal damage with a firearm, roll your fell bullet die and add it to the damage roll. The damage added by this roll is considered magical piercing damage.

Traitorous Enhancement

Starting at 3rd level, whenever you make an attack with a firearm, you can first make an attack against an allied creature. When rolling damage for this attack, you don’t add your ability modifier and you don’t roll your fell bullet die. The attack also doesn’t use a piece of ammunition. If you hit an allied creature with this attack, when attacking the original target, you can use your Sneak Attack against it, as long as you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Healing Sacrifice

At 9th level, as an action you can make an attack roll against an allied creature. If the attack hits the creature, you choose one different creature within 30 feet of you including yourself. It heals hit points equal to the damage dealt by the attack + your fell bullet die + your dexterity modifier.

You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your proficiency modifier.

In addition, your fell bullet die increases to a d8.

Splitting Shrapnell

Starting at 13th level, when you trigger Sneak Attack using your Traitorous Enhancement feature, you can choose three other creatures you can see within 30 feet of the target. You roll your fell bullet die to deal damage to the chosen creatures equal to the roll.

You can use this feature once every combat encounter.

In addition, your fell bullet die increases to a d10.

Unfriendly Fire

At 17th level, you master your friendly fire based abilities. When you make an attack using your Traitorous Enhancement feature, you no longer have to hit the allied creature to trigger Sneak Attack. Instead, if you hit the allied creature, you roll your fell bullet die twice. When you heal a creature with your Healing Sacrifice ability, you roll your fell bullet die twice. Also, when you hit the allied creature when using your Splitting Shrapnell ability, you also roll the fell bullet die twice when dealing damage to the additional targets.

In addition, your fell bullet die increases to a d12.
