Base Class: Warlock
Your pact draws on the existential power of what you dub 'The Overseer' that has a hand in creating reality itself. This grants you the ability to mimic its power, albeit to a lesser extent, to manipulate small portions of the world you inhabit to suit your needs. When you chose this subclass, decide who sources your power: does it come from a powerful being in the center of your universe? From a dying god in the far reaches of the Astral Sea? From your DM, who your character is somehow aware of? Or perhaps from an unexplainable apparition constantly in the back of your mind, whom you simultaneously recognize and ignore? Whoever or wherever your power comes from, it often has ties to the very beginning of your world, an event that most dare not attempt to find the truth of, for fear of insanity.
Level 3: Simple Summoning
You gain the ability to conjure small, mundane objects. Pick a point within 30 ft. that no creature currently sees, excluding yourself. On that point, a small object, no more than 1 ft. large, springs into existence. This object cannot be a weapon, magic item, or an artisan's tool of any kind, and you must have seen an object like it before to be able to create it. Objects created in this way instantly disappear after 1 minute.
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, each Long Rest.
Assisted Manipulation
Through your pact with The Overseer, you are gifted the ability to manipulate the world around you easier than most. When you cast either a Transmutation spell or a spell in the Overseer Spells table, you may choose not to consume a spell slot to cast it. You may do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, each Long Rest.
Level 3: Overseer Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Overseer Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Web, Levitate, Enlarge/Reduce, Prestidigitation, Tenser's Floating Disk |
| 5 | Dispel Magic, Spike Growth |
| 7 | Wall of Fire, Wind Wall |
| 9 | Stone Shape, Wall of Force |
Level 6: Shifting Rift
You can tear a hole in reality to bridge the gap between two locations.
Choose two points within 60 ft that you can see. At both points, a circular rift forms that is 10 ft. wide, 10 ft. tall, and impossibly thin, appearing from its open end as a shifting, jagged circle. The rifts can be facing whichever direction you want, and any creature, object, spell, or projectile that travels through one harmlessly appears instantly at the open end of the other rift, while maintaining momentum. Both rifts last 1 minute, or until their creator falls unconscious or dies.
You may use this feature only once per short rest.
Level 10: Overseer's Aid
Once The Overseer sees your potential, it begins to aid your spells directly. You gain the ability to hold concentration on two Transmutation spells at once. While holding concentration on two spells in this way, your movement speed is reduced by half, and any rolls to maintain concentration have disadvantage.
Level 14: Strength of The Overseer
With the power of The Overseer, you gain the power to shape locations directly. Choose a cubic area you can see within 120 ft. that is no larger than 50 ft. on all sides. As an action, you may double or half the length of any one axis in this area, temporarily stretching or squashing all objects and walls within it towards you as if they were made of clay. Any creatures within the area have their proportions unaffected, but are relocated to a new position that reflects how the area was affected. (e.g. A bandit that was 20 ft. away is now 10 ft. away if you affected a horizontal axis, a dragon that was 40 ft. up is now 20 ft. up if you affected the vertical axis, etc.) Spells, such as Spike Growth, remain unaffected. After 3 rounds or whenever you choose to end the effect, the area returns to normal.
Once used, you can’t use this feature again until you finish a Short rest unless you expend a Pact Magic spell slot to restore your use of it.
