Base Class: Bard
As a Bard, the only thing you've ever wanted was to spam vicious mockery until the DM gives up. Well, now you have a roleplay reason! You think the best way to take down your foes is to hollow out their soul with the awesome power of insult comedy. You might be Chaotic Evil, a toxic comedian, or both! And, just a reminder, if you do not roleplay every single Vicious Mockery, then you are officially banned from playing Bards. Have fun!
Brutal Roastery:
At 3rd level, your roasts attack every insecurity. You can add your charisma modifier to your damage for Vicious Mockery. Also, when your target fails their saving throw, they have disadvantage on all attack rolls until the start of your next turn.
Catching Strays:
Also at 3rd level, you can verbally attack a whole mi- *cough cough* BATTLEFIELD, in the hopes of offending someone. You can use a bardic inspiration when a target fails a saving throw against your Vicious Mockery to also target another creature of the same species within range. The extra targets provided by this feature have advantage on their saving throws and are not affected by any other features in this subclass that trigger on a failed save.
"It Was Just A Joke":
At 6th level, whenever you deal psychic damage to a creature with the Charmed condition, the effect that caused the damage is not treated as an attack against the charmed creature.
Stand-Up Routine
At 14th level, you can prepare an absolutely awful stand-up routine over a long rest. The stand-up horribly offends some and makes others laugh. When you prepare the stand-up, choose one creature type to offend, and one type to be delighted. The stand-up has a duration of one minute. Once you perform a stand-up you have prepared, you cannot perform another one until you prepare one again, and stand-up is treated as a spell that requires concentration. While you perform the stand-up, every creature offended that can hear you becomes instantly hostile towards you, and at the end of your turn Vicious mockery is cast on all of them. Every delighted creature is Charmed by you and will protect you from the offended creatures. If you cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter during the stand-up, it affects everyone in your audience, and they have disadvantage on the saving throw (this includes the Charmed creatures and your allies.) However, you cannot deal damage to anybody during the stand-up (except for the automatic Vicious Mockery). All effects caused by the stand-up ends when you stop performing. Only creatures that can understand you are affected by the stand-up.
