Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Azure Dragoon is sworn by warriors who seek to stand where few mortals dare—beneath the shadow of dragons and against the mightiest creatures that walk the world. These paladins are renowned for their mastery of polearms and their extraordinary ability to hurl themselves across the battlefield, descending upon their foes with the force of a falling star. To an Azure Dragoon, the sky is not an obstacle, but another path from which to strike.
The oath traces its traditions to ancient orders of dragon slayers who discovered that defeating their greatest enemies required more than strength of arms. They studied the movements, instincts, and supernatural power of dragons, learning to turn those same gifts against them. Over generations, this practice became something deeper. Azure Dragoons learned to draw upon traces of draconic power themselves, channeling it through their bodies and weapons until the line between dragon hunter and dragon warrior began to blur.
An Azure Dragoon fights with relentless momentum. They leap beyond enemy lines, crash into the heart of battle, and pursue powerful foes where ordinary warriors cannot follow. Their attacks are precise and devastating, favoring a single overwhelming strike delivered at exactly the right moment. As their oath grows stronger, so too does the draconic power within them, granting them abilities reminiscent of the very creatures their order was created to hunt.
To swear the Oath of the Azure Dragoon is to accept that no enemy is beyond your reach. Whether your quarry hides behind an army, atop an impossible height, or among the clouds themselves, you will find a path to them.
When the Azure Dragoon takes to the sky, even dragons learn to look above.

Channel Divinity
3rd-Level Oath of the Azure Dragoon Feature
The Oath of the Azure Dragoon is sworn by legendary warriors who hunt the mightiest creatures by mastering the very power they once sought to destroy. With lance in hand, they soar above the battlefield and descend like falling stars, channeling draconic might into devastating strikes. To an Azure Dragoon, no height is unreachable and no foe is beyond their reach.
Dragoon's Ascent:
As a Bonus Action, you channel divine power through your body, awakening the supernatural mobility of an Azure Dragoon. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- Your Long Jump and High Jump distances are tripled. When determining the height of your High Jump, you can use your Strength score instead of your Strength modifier. You can make Long Jumps and High Jumps from a standing position as though you had moved the required distance for a running jump. Whenever you make a High Jump, you can choose to land in any unoccupied space within a distance of your starting space equal to half your Speed. Additionally you are immune to falling damage from your own jumps since you can control your trajectory and how you fall.
- Your movement while jumping vertically doesn't provoke Opportunity Attacks. You can also move through the spaces of hostile creatures while jumping, though you can't end your movement in another creature's space.
- Once on each of your turns, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack after moving at least 10 feet through the air immediately before the attack, you can turn that attack into a Jump Attack. The attack deals an additional 1d8 damage of the weapon's type. If the target is flying, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be knocked Prone if it is Large or smaller. Immediately after the attack hits, you can leap up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. This movement doesn't provoke Opportunity Attacks and doesn't expend your movement.
While Dragoon's Ascent is active, you can travel up to your maximum jump distance even if that distance exceeds your remaining movement. If you exceed your remaining movement in this way, your Speed becomes 0 immediately after you land and remains 0 until the end of the current turn.
Eyes of the Azure
As an Action, you channel divine power through your eyes, sharpening your vision to the supernatural acuity of a dragon. For 10 minutes, you gain the following benefits:
- You have Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks that rely on sight.
- You can see clearly up to 1 mile away, allowing you to discern distant creatures, objects, structures, and landmarks as though they were much closer.
- Your vision isn't lightly obscured by nonmagical fog, mist, rain, snow, or similar environmental effects.
- You can accurately determine the distance and direction of any creature or object you can see.
Battle Litany
7th-Level Oath of the Azure Dragoon Feature
Beginning at 7th level, your presence inspires deadly precision in those who fight beside you. While you aren't Incapacitated, the minimum d20 roll required for you and creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you to score a Critical Hit with an attack is reduced by 1.
For example, a creature that normally scores a Critical Hit only on a roll of 20 instead scores one on a roll of 19 or 20. A creature that already scores a Critical Hit on a roll of 19 or 20 instead scores one on a roll of 18–20.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Dragonfire Dive
15th-Level Oath of the Azure Dragoon Feature
Starting at 15th level, you can launch yourself high into the air before descending upon the battlefield with explosive force.
As a Bonus Action, choose an unoccupied space you can see within 90 feet. You leap high into the air and descend into the chosen space. This movement doesn't provoke Opportunity Attacks and doesn't expend your movement.
When you land, a burst of draconic energy erupts from the impact. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d10 force damage, or half as much damage on a successful save.
You can use Dragonfire Dive once on each of your turns.
Nastrond
20th-Level Oath of the Azure Dragoon Feature
At 20th level, you can unleash the full draconic power dwelling within you, entering a state in which the might of the Azure Dragoon reaches its absolute peak.
As a Bonus Action, you awaken this power for 10 minutes, draconic energy surging through your body and weapon. For the duration, you gain the following benefits:
- You immediately gain all the benefits of your Dragoon's Ascent without expending a use of your Channel Divinity. These benefits last for the duration of Nastrond.
- Whenever you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an additional 1d8 Force damage.
- The damage of your Dragonfire Dive increases from 3d10 to 5d10 Force damage, and the radius of its draconic eruption increases from 10 feet to 20 feet.
- Once on each of your turns when you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a blast of concentrated draconic energy. The energy erupts from you in a 60-foot-long, 10-foot-wide line. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d8 Force damage, or half as much damage on a successful save.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
