Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

You have taken up the fighting style revolving around a greatsword. Your skill is unmatched in battle, and you've discovered how to use a greatswords advantages to its maximum potential. People who take up this path know that it leads it potential darkness, as the style they learn from comes from an old and dead time, from a void space called the abyss. They are from an Order call the Abyss Walkers, who see the gods as an insult, seeing the gods as beings who toy with the mortal world, and seek to one day destroy them so that the world may not suffer. They are not inherently evil, but they tend toward Chaotic or Lawful Evil.

Greatsword Expert

Starting at 3rd level, you become proficient with the greatsword if you aren't already, and you gain a +1 on attack and damage rolls with them. You are capable of fighting with this greatsword in one hand as part of your fighting technique, however you are not capable of holding something in your off-hand as that ruins the capability of how you fight with the greatsword, combining some uses of hand-to-hand combat in order to improve the strikes of the greatsword.

The style consists of you resting it on your shoulder, using your free-hand and the rest of your body when needed to slam the greatsword using its weight and your own momentum to give it greater striking power.

At 5th level, your attack and damage rolls increase by another +1, as well as at 10th level, to a maximum of +3.

You also obtain a new Attack Option. Once on each of your turns, you can use your free-arm to make an unarmed shoulder bash, using a d4 for the hit die. (The bonuses listed above still apply). Should you hit, the target must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + Proficiency bonus + Strength Modifier) or be thrown 15 feet away and knocked prone. This action only effects creatures the same size as you, but you can still use it on ones that are one size larger than you, which they do with Advantage. You can use this feature three times per long rest.

Greatsword's Finesse

At 7th level, you gain a new Attack Action option. If you so choose, you can use your free-hand to make an attack (with the bonuses of Greatsword Expert added onto it) to make an unarmed strike, using a d4 for the hit die and adding your strength modifier. If it hits, you can then swing your greatsword as a bonus action with advantage. You can make this attack as many times equal to your Strength Modifier. You can attempt to do it after you've expended its uses, but suffer a point of exhaustion when doing so. At 3 points of exhaustion, you become too tired to make this Attack.

Abyss Initiate

Starting at 10th level, you have started to walk the path of the Abyss. Your attacks are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming damage resistances, and you gain the ability to infuse necrotic energy into your Greatsword. Once on each of your turns, you can deal necrotic damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus and Strength Modifier added together. (Maximum of +10). At 20th level, the maximum damage you can deal has no limitations.

Abyssal Form

At 15th level, your body has become accustomed to the Abyss. You have resistance to Necrotic damage, and cannot suffer the effects of a Curse spell unless it exceeds 5th level. At 20th level, you become immune to Curses entirely.

Cursed Blade

At 18th level, you gain the ability to apply an Abyssal Curse on one target. As part of the attack action on your turn, when your greatsword hits, you can choose to apply a Curse onto them. In doing so, the Necrotic damage you deal is doubled on that target for the duration. The curse lasts for 2 minutes or until you are incapacitated or dead. You can apply this curse to 3 individual targets, but no more. This feature can be used three times per long rest, each one being a single Curse Stack. For example, you could go into a fight and use two of said curses on two individual enemies, but choose not to use the final one and save it for a later fight. You can never exceed more than 3 uses of this ability. At 20th level, this ability has unlimited uses.
