Base Class: Barbarian
Unleash the demon within and utilize your fiendish power to sow fear and wreak havoc.
Infernal Resilience
3rd-level Path of the Hellion feature
Your fiendish power grants you resistance to Fire and Poison damage while raging, as well as advantage on saving throws against the poisoned condition.
At 10th level, you also gain resistance to necrotic damage while raging.
Dread Howl
3rd-level Path of the Hellion feature
You let out a demonic roar as you enter a Rage, instilling fear in the hearts of your foes. When you Rage, you can choose a number of creatures, equal to half your Barbarian level (rounded up), within 30ft to make a wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you until your rage ends. At the end of an affected creature's turn, they can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect early. You can repeat Dread Howl as a bonus action while raging.
While frightened in this way, a creature's movement speed is reduced by half, and a creature who is hit by a melee weapon attack by you while frightened has disadvantage on their saving throw to end the effect.
Dread Howl can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You restore 1 use of Dread Howl upon completing a short rest, and restore all uses upon finishing a long rest.
Hellfire Ignition
6th-level Path of the Hellion feature
While you are raging, the first time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack on your turn, the target and each creature within 5 feet of it take 1d6 fire damage. This damage ignores resistance to fire damage. You are immune to this effect's damage.
A creature that is frightened when it takes this damage instead takes 2d6 fire damage.
Fiendish Tongue
6th-level Path of the Hellion feature
You learn to speak, read, and write Infernal and Abyssal.
Manifest Dread
10th level Path of the Hellion feature
While raging, you can use a bonus action to manifest your hellish presence next to a creature within 30 ft of you. The targeted creature must make a wisdom saving throw or take 1d6 psychic damage, as the shadow of your presence overwhelms them for the next 1 minute. A frightened creature has disadvantage on the saving throw.
Whenever you deal damage to a creature while within their sight, the creature affected by Manifest Dread takes 1d6 psychic damage.
This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, per long rest.
Inescapable Terror
14th-level Path of the Hellion feature
Whenever you activate Dread Howl, you deal 2d6 psychic damage to all targeted creatures. A creature that fails Dread Howl's saving throw, or is already frightened, instead takes 4d6 psychic damage.
Additionally, whenever you activate Dread Howl, you can teleport next to any creature that is, or became, frightened.
