Base Class: Fighter
You may not be the strongest fighter or the best tactician, but you sure can take a beating. Years of hard living, whether in the unforgiving wilderness or the on the less forgiving streets has made you tougher than the average bear... tougher than most bears actually. You've learned to put your remarkable durability to use, fighting alongside others and taking hits you know they couldn't..
Tough Stuff
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your hit point maximum increases by 8. For each Fighter level you gain thereafter, increase your HP maximum by 4.
Mundane Resistance
By the time you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your education from the school of hard knocks has given you thick skin. Literally. Choose from Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing and gain resistance to that damage type.
Payback
At 7th level, you can overcome your injuries and give as good as you get. Any time you take damage from a creature within range make a Con save against their attack roll. On a success, you can choose to use your reaction to make an attack against that same creature.
Brutish Durability
Beginning at 10th level, your toughness allows you to shrug off assaults that would devastate others.
Whenever you make a saving throw, roll 1d6 and add the die to your saving throw total. If applying this bonus to a death saving throw increases the total to 20 or higher, you gain the benefits of rolling a 20 on the d20.
Remarkable resistance
At 10th level, you gain an additional resistance to a damage type to which you are not already resistant. Choose any damage type.
Body Guard
Starting at 15th level, once per round when a creature that you can see deals damage to a creature other than you, you can move up to half your movement and force the attack to damage you instead.
No More Mr. Nice Guy
At 18th level, you've learned than when the going get's tough, you better get tougher. When your HP is less than or equal to half your max, deal double damage on all melee attacks.
Legendary Resistance
The road's been hard, but you're harder. At 18th level you not only gain resistance to any third damage type of your choice, but have even grown immune to the mundane damage type you chose at 3rd level.
