Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Gods of fire—Amaunator, Apep, Garyx, Girru, Gond, Hephaestus, Kossuth, Surtur, Talos, Tharmekhûl, and Utu—embody creation and annihilation in the same breath. Their clerics tend the sacred flame: forge-fire that shapes civilization, hearth-fire that keeps the dark at bay, and wildfire that unmakes what no longer deserves to stand. A Fire Domain cleric does not merely call flame. They are the flame’s chosen vessel.

Fire Domain Spells

You gain domain spells at the cleric levels listed in the Fire Domain Spells table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work.

Fire Domain Spells

Heart of the Inferno

Also at 1st level, the sacred fire takes up residence in you and answers when you call.

Unquenchable Flesh. You are immune to fire damage. This immunity cannot be bypassed, ignored, suppressed, or treated as resistance by any spell, magic item, feature, or other effect. You are likewise immune to any spell or magical effect that would deal fire damage to you.

Kindled Magic. When you cast a spell that deals damage, you can change any of that spell’s damage types to fire damage.

Inescapable Flame. A creature that takes fire damage from your spells or other magical effects cannot benefit from resistance or immunity to that fire damage. In addition, a creature cannot regain hit points from fire damage you inflict.

Master of All Flames. When you cast control flames, you can target magical flames as well as nonmagical ones, provided the flames fit within a 5-foot cube as normal.

You can also speak, read, and write Ignan.

Channel Divinity: Sacred Ignition

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to crown a burning creature in divine fire.

When a creature you can see takes fire damage, you can use your reaction to expend one use of your Channel Divinity and ignite that creature with magical flames. The creature takes extra fire damage immediately, and it is ignited for 1 minute.

While ignited, the creature takes fire damage at the end of each of its turns unless it uses its action to douse the flames. Water, rain, immersion, and other nonmagical means cannot extinguish these flames. Another creature within 5 feet of the ignited creature can use its action to douse the flames on that creature.

A creature can be ignited by this feature only once at a time. If you use this feature on a creature that is already ignited by it, the duration resets to 1 minute and the creature takes the extra fire damage again.

The extra damage and the end-of-turn damage scale with your cleric level, as shown in the Sacred Ignition table.

Sacred Ignition

Cleric Level Extra Fire Damage End-of-Turn Fire Damage
2nd 2d8 1d8
5th 3d8 2d8
11th 4d8 3d8
17th 5d8 4d8

This fire damage is fire damage you inflict with magic, and therefore is subject to your Inescapable Flame feature.

Channel Divinity: Kindled Vulnerability

Starting at 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to tear open a creature’s defenses against flame.

When a creature you can see takes fire damage, you can use your reaction to expend one use of your Channel Divinity. If that creature does not have resistance or immunity to fire damage, it becomes vulnerable to fire damage including the damage it was inflicted with for 1 minute.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Avatar of the Meteor

Starting at 17th level, the heavens themselves answer your call.

You can cast meteor swarm without expending a spell slot. You can do so three times, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these castings. When you cast meteor swarm  in this way, you can change all of its damage to fire damage (using Kindled Magic), and Inescapable Flame applies to the fire damage it deals.

In addition, when you use Channel Divinity: Kindled Vulnerability, the target is affected even if it has resistance or immunity to fire damage. For the duration, that creature’s resistance or immunity to fire damage is suppressed, and it is vulnerable to fire damage.
