Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You have spent your time studying the art of performing and the use of throwing weapons. Whether it was for a traveling circus or a royal court, you know how to keep people entertained. One of your favorite acts is knife throwing. This training with throwing weapons has given you the ability to magically manipulate them. While you may be a bit more flashy than most rogues, you are no less deadly than them.

Jester's Act

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Performance skill if you don't already have it, as well as the disguise kit. You also choose to learn the Vicious Mockery and Prestidigitation cantrip, Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this.

Returning Blades

At 3rd level, you can magically bond yourself to a number of throwing weapons. You can spend a short rest to bond to three weapons with the light and thrown properties, as well as darts. Whenever you throw a bonded weapon the weapon immediately returns to your hand after the attack. Starting at 7th level, you do not have disadvantage when throwing your bonded weapons at their second range increment, as well as, you ignore half cover.

Knife Tricks

Starting at 3rd level, once per turn, when you make an attack roll with a bonded weapon and miss, you can  reroll the attack roll against a different target within 20 feet of the original target. You can do this a number of times per day equal to your Charisma modifier.

The Ol’ Switcheroo

Starting at 9th level, when you get hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to replace yourself with a decoy. You don’t take any damage from the attack and teleport 30 feet away to an unoccupied space. As apart of this reaction, you can attempt to hide. Once you use this feature you can not use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

Method Acting

Starting at 13th level, you can spend an hour studying a target. Once you do so, you can then cast Disguise Self (DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus) at will, only disguising as that target. You can also mimic their voice and mannerisms. You can change the target you disguise as by spending an hour studying them. Once you study a new target, you lose the ability to disguise as the previous target.

Blade Mastery

At 17th level, you become even more deadly with a knife. As apart of the attack action, you can throw two of your bonded weapons. Additionally, the amount of times you can use Knife Tricks is not limited by your Charisma modifier.
