Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Wield a sword and gun, cutting down foes to power your magic through your gun.

You specialize in channeling the weave through your weapons. A drifter's sword empowers their gun to cast powerful magics. As long as they can land their strikes.

Level 3: Studied Proficiency

During a long rest you can study a single ranged weapon and a single melee weapon. Your boundless knowledge lets you become proficient with the weapons until the next long rest.

The weapons that you study become spell focuses for your wizard spells with the following restrictions. The ranged weapon may only be used as a spellcasting focus for a spell with a range that is not self or touch. The Melee may only be used as a spellcasting focus for spells that are self or touch.

Finally, you are able to cast Mage Armor at will. But you may only target yourself when casting the spell with this feature.

Level 3: Bullets of the Weave

You gain a resource known as weave bullets. Every time you hit a hostile creature with an attack using your studied melee weapon you gain 1 weave bullet. You may expend your weave bullet to shoot your studied ranged weapon without loading it. When you fire the weapon this way you may use your spellcasting modifier for the attack and damage rolls.

Weave Bullets can only be gained during combat and are lost at the end of combat. You may only gain 1 Weave Bullet per round.

As a bonus action, you may combine your weave bullets into a single spell bullet. This spell bullet simulates a spell slot equal to half the number of Weave Bullets expended (rounded down). When you fire this spell bullet and it hits, you may cast one of your prepared wizard spells equal to the level of the spell bullet without consuming the slot. This spell cannot restore health and must apply to the target. You may not use spell bullets to cast wish. Additionally, the spell will only affect the target it hits. The spell bullet vanishes immediately after hitting or missing its target.

You may create a maximum number of spell bullets equal to two times your proficiency bonus per long rest and all created spell bullets vanish after long resting.

Level 6: Tactical Attack

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn if you made the attack using one of the studied weapons. However, if you made the original attack using the studied melee weapon then the second attack must come from the studied ranged weapon and vice versa

You may cast one your wizard cantrips in place of one of these attacks but it must be of the same range as the attack you replace.

Level 10: Quick Cast

You may now expend a number of Weave Bullets to replace one of the attacks granted by the Tactical Attack Feature with a spell of equal range. This spell must have a casting time of an action and you must cast the spell using a spell slot equal to the number of weave bullets expended.

Level 14: Efficient Weaving

You may now gain one additional Weave Bullet per round, your weave bullets can also be gained by landing ranged attacks with your studied ranged weapon.

Additionally, when your weave bullet hits you may choose to not expend it. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. These uses are restored after a long rest.
