College of Slapstick

College of Slapstick Bards are experts in the concepts of slapstick comedy, utilizing their experience in taking hits safely to reduce damage they take, and utilizing blunt weaponry to great effect. These bards make themselves the center of attention on the battlefield, and dish out just as much as they take. Many warriors dread fighting them, not only due to their effectiveness, but due to the fact that they are considered quite irritating. 

Level 3: Irritating Inspiration

When you use bardic inspiration on yourself, you may choose one creature within 30 feet to irritate and taunt. This creature will have disadvantage on attacks rolls against any targets except you with their attacks until the end of their next turn, and cannot move away from you. While this effect is active, the damage taken from these attacks is reduced by the number rolled on the bardic inspiration die. This effect is nullified if you move more than 30 feet away from that creature.

Level 3: Slapstick Training

Your knowledge of slapstick comedy translates well into your combat style. You gain proficiency with martial weapons that deal bludgeoning damage, and proficiency with medium armor. 

You reduce all damage you take by an amount equal to your proficiency modifier. 

When you deal bludgeoning damage to an enemy, you can deal additional bludgeoning damage equal to your bardic inspiration die. This roll doesn't expend the die.

Level 6: Extra Attack

You can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

In addition, you can cast one of your cantrips that has a casting time of an action in place of one of those attacks.

Level 14: Slapstick Savant

You have mastered the art of slapstick, and can now channel the very essence of slapstick. 

You may use your reaction to reduce the damage you take by your performance modifier

Your melee weapon attacks now deal additional thunder damage equal to your performance modifier, as an incredibly loud noise emits from your strikes.
