Base Class: Warlock
Warlocks of mimicry are warlocks that have traded their voice for the ability to copy the talents and abilities of others. This ancient magic allows them to be either the perfect distraction or perfect spy. While not particularly skillful on their own, they are never outclassed as the mime's true strength is their opponents.
Level 3: Mimic Action
Once per turn, instead of a regular action or bonus action, you may instead copy an action or bonus action made against you, or made by a creature you can see within 15 feet of you since the end of your last turn. The copied action may not be a leveled spell and you must use the properties provided (eg, you may not make a melee action at range). This mimicked action uses your spellcasting modifier for any rolls it may require and should it deal damage, you may use the actions original damage type or instead replace it with Force damage.
At 6th level this action may be taken in place of one of your attack actions.
At 10th level this improves again, the range of what you can see to copy increases to 30 feet. Additionally you may instead cast a spell you have seen since the end of your last turn, a spell cast this way may be cast without expending a spell slot a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Level 3: Mimicry Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Mimicry Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Mage Hand, Mage Armour, Silent Image, Knock, Disguise Self |
| 5 | Major Image, Conjure Constructs |
| 7 | Distorted Distance, Arcane Eye |
| 9 | Wall of Force, Bigby's Hand |
Level 3: Curse of Silence
Warlocks of the Mimicry patron traded their voice for eldritch powers, any spell requiring a vocal component instead becomes a somatic component unless it already requires a somatic component, in which case the spell simply loses the vocal component. Additionally you now know Common Sign Language if you did not before.
Level 6: Mimicked Creations
At 6th level, you have become better at miming out items. You can now create invisible objects as if out of thin air, these objects must be able to be held by you and can include things such as;
Any non-gold costing material components
A shovel or key (using this to make a key you haven't seen before just counts as having thieves tools proficiency should you attempt to use it)
A weapon of which you are proficient in, a weapon created this way may count as your pact weapon if you have the Pact of the Blade invocation, regardless of if it is melee or not. Creating a weapon this way takes a bonus action.
Any item created this way disappears should you stop touching it, or if it is consumed as part of a spell.
Level 10: Stalwart Mime
Starting at 10th level, once per Long Rest, you gain the ability to cast Mage Armour without expending a spell slot. While under the effects of Mage Armour, you have resistance to psychic damage, and gain advantage on checks and saves against being knocked prone or shoved. Additionally you may use your reaction to resist being moved against your will.
Level 14: Dramatic Fake-Out
Starting at 14th level, if you take damage that reduces you to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to instead drop unconscious. Once you do this, instead of rolling death saving throws you pop back up at the start of your next turn, healing for 1d8 + your Charisma modifier and causing any enemy within a 5 foot radius of you to roll a Wisdom saving throw against your spellcasting modifier or be surprised until the end of their next turn.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
