Base Class: Monk
A Kenshi, often referred to simply as a Swordsman, specializes in battle using bladed weaponry. Whether it be a slender katana, a curved scimitar, a simple shortsword, or a different form of sword, a Warrior of the Kenshi can wield it as an extension of their body and mind.
Level 3: Refined & Polished
You've refined your personality and your knowledge of weapons. You gain proficiency in Smith's Tools. In addition, you use Charisma instead of Wisdom for your Monk's Focus DC and other Wisdom-based Monk class features (such as Unarmored Defense or Body and Mind).
Level 3: Kenshi's Blade
While wielding a Dagger, Scimitar, or Shortsword in one hand and no other weapons, you can use that weapon in place of an Unarmed Strike for your Monk features. For example, you can use that weapon for your Bonus Unarmed Strike, Flurry of Blows, Stunning Strike, and other Monk features that use an Unarmed Strike.
In addition, while wielding a Dagger, Scimitar, or Shortsword in one hand and no other weapons, you have a +1 bonus to attack rolls.
Level 3: Sweeping Sword Stance
As a bonus action, you can spend 1 Focus Point to enter Sweeping Sword Stance, gaining the following benefits for 10 minutes.
Blade Mastery. For the duration, you can use the Weapon Mastery property of Daggers, Scimitars, and Shortswords. In addition, whenever you miss an attack with one of those weapons, the target takes damage equal to half of one roll of your Martial Arts die (rounded down), instead of no damage at all.
Sword's Edge. While you are wielding a Dagger, Scimitar, or Shortsword in one hand and aren't wielding another weapon, whenever you make an attack with it, you can temporarily give it one of the following Weapon Mastery properties for that attack: Cleave, Sap, Slow, or Vex. You can use the chosen property's effects for that attack regardless of whether the weapon used meets the property's normal prerequisites. When you do so, you can't use the weapon's normal Weapon Mastery property for that attack.
Level 6: Critical Blade
Whenever you attack with a Dagger, Scimitar, or Shortsword, you score a Critical Hit on a natural 19 or a natural 20. If you specifically score a Critical Hit on a natural 20, it rolls the damage dice three times instead of two times.
Level 11: Wind Slash
You've learned to cut through the air itself to unleash deadly gusts of wind. While wielding a Dagger, Scimitar, or Shortsword in one hand and no other weapons, your reach with that weapon increases by 15 feet. In addition, once per turn when you make an attack with one of those weapons against a creature within 5 feet of you, you can give yourself Advantage on the attack roll by spending 1 Focus Point.
Level 17: Everstand Stance
When you enter your Sweeping Sword Stance, you can spend 3 extra Focus Points to gain the following extra benefits.
Breaching Blade. Attacks you make with Daggers, Scimitars, and Shortswords ignore Resistance and deal half damage to creatures that would be Immune to its damage. In addition, whenever you hit with an attack made using one of those weapons, you can deal an additional amount of damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die.
Steel Resolve. You gain Resistance to Psychic damage and Immunity to the Charmed and Frightened conditions.
Unstoppable Force. You cannot be forcefully moved in any way.
