Storm Soul sorcerers manifest powers of the air, water and lightning. How their souls became so charged with nature's fury is a mystery: some may have been conceived or born where various elemental planes overlap while others may have been born in a great magical storm. In any case a Storm Soul Sorcerer gains a modicum of control over the elemental forces around it and are highly revered and feared for their power to control the weather.

Storm Magic

Starting at 1st level your powers give you access to storm magic. You know the cantrips Gust and Shape Water. You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Storm Magic Spells table. The spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class.

Storm Magic Spells

For these spells, including the cantrips, you may cast them using only a Somatic or Verbal component - your choice when casting the spell - instead of the components the spell normally requires.

When you reach 3rd level in this class you can also cast these Storm Magic spells of 1st level or higher at their base level by spending a number of Sorcery Points equal to the spell's level instead of using a spell slot. You can also cast either of the cantrips granted by this feature as a bonus action using 1 Sorcery Point.

Storm Resistance

At 1st level your connections to storms protects you from certain types of damage normally associated with storms: the impact of winds and flown objects, the cold water and ice and from the lightning of storm clouds. You gain resistance to Bludgeoning, Cold and Lightning damage.

Rising Winds

When you reach 6th level you gain the power to take to the air. You learn the spell Levitate but with this version of the spell you can only target yourself, it does not require concentration and you may cast it At-Will without needing any spell components.

Eye of the Storm

Upon reaching 14th level your powers have grown immensely and never need to fear the magic you unleash, as if your magic was a storm around you and you were in the storm's eye. You become immune to cold and lightning damage. You can also choose to be immune to any spell you cast that does not have a target of Self.

Unleash the Storm

After reaching 18th level you have learned to call forth greater power of the storm. You learn the spell Control Weather as though it was granted by the Storm Magic feature.
