Base Class: Sorcerer
None really understands how a frost bloodline comes to be, weather it is the meddling from some entity from the plane of water, or a Archfey of the Winter court or perhaps you were born in a winter ice storm. However you powers came to you or infused into your essence one thing is for sure, your body affinity is to that of the frozen fields of the water plane and material plane.

Voice of Frost
Starting at 1st Level, your nature connects you to the plane of water and ice, You can Read, Write and speak Primordial and Aquan.
Icy Viens
Starting at 1st Level, ice runs through your blood and because of it it has giving your an upper hand when it comes to cold. The following traits are given to you:
- You have Immune to cold damage but are vulnerable to Fire damage
- All cold spells you cast adds your Charisma Modifier to the damage of them
- You treat all frozen terrain as Normal Terrain
- You can now cast Armor of Agathys as an At Will Spell Once per a short rest
Frost Hearld
Starting at 6th Level, all spells that are cold damage and are of Cantrip and 1st level are cast as a bonus action.
Permafrost
Starting at 14th Level, you have learned how to force your spells with the cold damage type past personal defenses. You gain the feat Elemental Adept cold.
Cold snap
At 18th Level, your power to control Ice magic in unsurpassed, you let lose a powerful attack. Now a few things happen here, first the Sorcerer must spend 6 Sorcery points, As an action you use cold snap the following happens.
- You cast the Spell Meteor Swarm, the spell works just as it stats minus the changes stated here.
- A globe of Winter forms around the area when the spell goes off, As the Meteorites touch the barrier of Winter the Meteors freeze solid. Where the Meteors strike down the ground becomes Ice creating Rough terrain. The Damage type of the Spell is considered to be cold damage for this feature only.
Using this Feature does not use spell slots. You do not need the Meteor Swarm to use this feature. After using Cold Snap you must complete a Long Rest before using it again.

Posted Dec 30, 2018I have looked at the immunity to cold as a potentially strong aspect at such a lower level. The reality is there are fewer cold spells in the game in comparison to fire spells. The immunity is off set by the fact you are Vulnerable to fire spells. And seeing as you take no damage from cold spells or effects, which are one of the lowest damage affects found in the game, to gaining double damage from fire spells something that is one of the highest damage affects in the game i feel it balances the power gain out.

Posted Dec 27, 2018Veins and Herald are misspelled in the Features section and the descriptions below.
Critiques: Immunity to cold is a bit much, I'd consider revising that to damage reduction that increases with level - that's quite a lot of power to get at first level.

Posted Oct 17, 2018Great question and sorry for any confusion,
All Cantrips and First Level spells that have the Identifier of Cold damage can be cast as a Bonus Action.
So for example you can cast a Ray of Frost and another Ray of frost in the same round, casting one at a Bonus action and the other as a standard action.
Likewise you can cast Chromatic Orb ( with the cold damage) as a Bonus action and a cantrip as a standard action, BUT you can not cast Chromatic orb twice. You still follow the conventions of Spell casting, this just allows you to cast 1st level and Cantrips with the cold Identifier as bonus actions. Now I understand that there is only 1 1st level spell that is cold damage, but if your table has homebrewed spells with cold damage it works.
The spell, since it is an At Will spell, only cast at the base level, so it isn't super strong but it does allow you to cast a warlock spell with out the expenditure of a spell slot or spell points.
Hope this helps thanks for the feedback if you like my stuff please give me an up vote, i have created a lot of subclasses and items and spells. Thanks again for your support and inquires have a great day

Posted Oct 17, 2018Does Frost Hearld allow for only cantrips (limit of 1st level) to be cast as bonus actions, or can both cantrips and 1st level cold spells be cast as bonus actions?
