Monk
Base Class: Monk

This style was created in order to combat fiends, demons, aberrations, and other supernatural beings that would pose a threat to the innocent. The Way of Water Breathing is based on a specific breathing technique that makes full use of the lungs, and causes much more oxygen to enter the body than usual. This allows practitioners to achieve strength that are comparable to the supernatural creatures that they must fight against. The style places a heavy emphasis on flowing, elegant motions during combat. With this, the Way of Water Breathing is designed to be as adaptable as the water itself, which provides its practitioners with an opportunity to be creative with the application of certain techniques, and even in some cases, create new ones

Water Breathing Styles 1-10

1st Style; Water Surface Slash: A single, powerful slash imbued with ki energy.

2nd Style; Water Wheel: An aerial attack where the practitioner swings their sword and turns their entire body in a vertical circular motion.

3rd Style; Rapid Current Dance: The user launches an elegant, flowing series of strikes against numerous targets. This can be used on any target in sight, and costs 1 ki point for every target you attempt to attack. You may only attack any given target one time when using this technique.

4th Style; Striking Tide: The user spins rapidly, striking their target with 3 sword attacks. Only 1 ki point is needed to launch all 3 attacks

5th Style; Merciful Rain: The user slashes at the target in a way that prevents the target from feeling any pain. This technique is used to allow victims to pass away without feeling any suffering.

6th Style; Whirlpool: The user spins rapidly, creating a vortex that sucks all creatures within 10 feet of the user into melee range. An attack must be launched against everyone within melee range when this technique is used.

7th Style; Piercing Rain Drop: A precise stabbing technique that can be used to stop incoming projectiles. This can be used as a reaction. You must roll a d20(+ Dexterity modifier &Proficiency modifier) and if your roll is higher than the attack roll made against you, the object stops and falls to the ground, resulting in no damage. This can also be used against water-based spells, where if you roll higher than the a opponent's attack roll, the spell does not affect you.

8th Style; Waterfall Jar: The user falls from the air and launches a vertical slash. The number of dice used for damage increases with every 20 feet the user falls, but the Slow Fall Class Feature cannot be used during this attack. Any spell used on the user to slow their fall will result in the user only being able to use their normal amount of damage dice.

9th Style; Water Splash: Allows the user to traverse difficult terrain as if it were normal terrain. Also allows the user to move atop the surface of water, but only to the distance that their speed would allow during a movement turn.

10th Style; The Dragon of Change: The user begins a rapid series of rotations before delivering a devastating slash. Each rotation performed adds an additional damage dice to the attack. However, each rotation requires two ki points to do, with the max number of rotations equaling half of the user's monk class.

Water Breathing: Constant

At this level, the user has reached a point where they are able to utilize Water Breathing constantly with no adverse effects to their body. From now on, Style 1-10 can be used as many times as the user would like.

11th Style: Total Calm

The user is able to use the elusive 11th sword technique of the Way of Water Breathing, which was developed by one of the Monastic Path's current Grandmasters.

The technique allows the user to make a reaction to  enter a state where they can halt any physical attack coming towards them. The max number of attacks that can be stopped are equal to the user's martial arts dice (For example, a Monk with a d12 martial arts die can stop 12 attacks) , and this technique can consumes 3 ki points to execute.  While in this state, you cannot attack, and you can exit this state after blocking the maximum number of attacks allowed or taking a bonus action to end the technique.

Secret Style: Kagura Dance

A technique that has only ever been used by the founder of the Way of Water Breathing.

By using Water Breathing to its max potential, your ki bring about a new power into your blade. Not of the crashing tide, but of the searing inferno.

When using Dragon of Change,  as opposed to slashing damage, your attack will deal fire damage instead. Your attack will also count as a magical attack.

The victim will have to make a DC 12 constitution saving throw. On a failed throw, they will be consumed by flame, and will suffer 1d12 fire damage per turn.
