Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some Barbarians find their rage becomes directed into an unfathomable void, where cold and darkness holds power over warmth and light. While most barbarians release their rage in a roar or scream of fury and defiance, these barbarians often are silent, with the only signal that they have moved into a state of primal anger is the darkening of their eyes and a sense of cold that radiates from them.

These Barbarians are known as Voidwalkers and their rage allows them to nullify the power of magical spells. While these barbarians are often hunted as freaks or witches in some societies, in others they are worshipped as avatars of the Gods themselves, to hunt and kill those who would indulge in despicable practices such as Necromancy. Overall, however, most Voidwalkers are taciturn individuals whose very path fosters a unease amongst those who do not know them well. Such discomfort of course can work in the Barbarian's favour, however against those who are weak-willed.

Path of the Voidwalker Features

Barbarian Level Feature
3rd Rage of the Void
6th Nullifying Blow
10th Void Charge, Nullifying Blow (4th Level Spells)
14th Void Breaker, Nullifying Blow (5th Level Spells)

Rage of the Void

At 3rd Level the Barbarian calls upon the Void to protect him against a specific type of magical energy.

Every time the Barbarian rages, they may choose one of the following types of damage for (acid, lightning, ice, fire, cold, poison, necrotic, radiant or thunder). For the duration of the rage they are also resistant to that type of damage.

Nullifying Blow

The Barbarian channels the dispelling effects into their weapon to create a blow that dispels any magical effects on the enemy.

If a barbarian successfully hits a creature at Level 6 with an attack that has some sort of magical effect on it from a spell that is 3rd level or lower and chooses to invoke this ability, the effect is immediately dispelled.

This becomes 4th Level Spells at Level 10, and 5th Level Spells at Level 14

Please Note: The barbarian has to successfully hit first- so a wizard could cast Shield to cause the barbarian to miss. Furthermore, this is rolled before damage so magical armour (like the Armour of Agathys) can be dispelled before damage is done. Furthermore, if the target is casting a spell, but is not effected by it, it does not work.

This can be done 3 times per long rest.

Void Charge

The Barbarian can use the Power of the Void to teleport small distances from one fallen enemy to another.

At 10th Level if the Barbarian deals the killing blow to an enemy in melee range, as a Bonus Action they gain an additional 20ft of movement to engage another enemy. No enemy can use their reaction to use an opportunity attack if the Barbarian comes by their path, nor does the Barbarian suffer any difficult terrain penalties. Should they manage to make it to another enemy, they get an additional melee attack with advantage. This ability can only be used once per round.

If the Barbarian cannot reach another enemy, then they stay put.

Void Breaker

The Barbarian channels the power of the void to inflict more strikes on those of an magical ancestry.

At 14th Level the Barbarian can add an extra attack when they take the attack action if they are in melee range of the following enemy types; Celestial, Fey, Fiend, Dragon and/or Undead.
