Base Class: Barbarian
Not all barbarians are wild folk of the untamed wilderness. Some are those driven mad from cruel experiment and horrors beyond conception, survivors of the abyss and even the far realm. You may appear to be a well adjusted individual in your day to day actions, however deep within your mind their is a madness raging, waiting to transform you into an inconsolable monster.
Barbarians that have been thrust onto to the path of the Ragemind unlease their suppressed trauma and horror when raging in the form of overwhelming psychic energy. Those who would wish to harm you or enter your mind while you are in such a state will only find madness beyond mortal comprehension, and over come with shock may soon find themself no different then yourself.
Saving throws
Some of your abilities require your target to make a saving throw to resist their effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:
Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your constitution
Psychic Screams
When you rage you emit a constant cry of psychic terror. Creatures within 30 feet of you must make a wisdom saving throw vs your save DC listed below. On a failure, the creature takes damage equal to your rage damage modifier for each round they remain within 30 feet of you and whenever they reenter the area.
Maddening images
You can target a single creature within 60ft that you can see to psychically communicate via images to. You can send images to them but they cannot communicate back to you. Attempts to intimidate via this ability are done at advantage.
Additionally if a creature attempts to read your mind, magically charm or dominate you while you are raging they must make a wisdom saving throw. On a failure they are bombarded with horrific images and nightmarish visions forcing their spell to fail and suffer the effects of the fear spell.
Paralyzing Gaze
You can use your maddening image ability to shock a creature into inaction. When a creature hits you with a melee weapon attack you can use your reaction to project a horrifying image into their head, forcing them to make a wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails the save they take your level in psychic damage and are stunned for a round, otherwise they are unaffected. You can use this ability a number of times equal to you constitution modifier after which you will require a long rest before using it again.
Psychotic presence
Your madness has grown like a plague, allowing you to infect others with your intense rage. While raging you can target up to your constitution modifier worth of creatures within 30 ft of you inflicting them with madness. The creature must make a wisdom saving throw or fall victim to your presence. The targeted creatures lose the ability to distinguish friend from foe and mindlessly attack any creature within reach of them. If there are no creatures within reach they will expend all their movement to put them within attacking range with no regard for their own safety. Creatures affected by this ability lose the ability to cast spells that are not innate to the creature, such as drow darkness or an imps shape changing ability. This ability stops affecting the targeted creatures once you have exited your rage or if the creature is rendered unconscious or dead.
