Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

To some barbarians, cannibalism is more than a means for survival, it is a deep-seated hunger that drives them to violence. The most savage act imaginable to civilized peoples everywhere, cannibals will find themselves hated and feared anywhere they travel. Those accompanying you on your journey will have to come to terms with your bloodthirsty nature in order to remain your companion.

Blood Thirst

Starting at 3rd level, while in a rage, if you cause melee damage to a humanoid opponent on your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier + your barbarian level. Once you use this feature, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Bite Back

Starting at 6th level, while in rage, you can make a bite attack as a reaction when a humanoid opponent deals you melee damage. The target takes damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier. You regain hit points equal to half the amount of damage that you deal the target (to a minimum of 1 hit point).

Violent Hunger

Starting at 10th level, when you are in a rage, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier + your barbarian level and cannot be charmed or frightened. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage. You lose the temporary hit points as soon as your rage ends. Once you have used this feature, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Take Their Power

Starting at 14th level, you may take an action to eat from a humanoid that has died within the last minute allowing you to absorb their final thoughts and gain some of their power. You can ask one question of the dead target that can be answered with a yes or no. If the target does not know the answer to the question, the player does not receive an answer and loses the opportunity to ask a question. In addition, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier + your barbarian level. Once you have used this feature, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.
