Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

This path is one walked by those who would refer to themselves as omens of the dead. You follow a God or Goddess whose soul purpose is to to welcome the lost souls that have left the mortal plane, and Shepherd them to the light. Your job is one of a peacekeeper. You are to punish those whom would see the destruction of the mortal plane, and bring upon them the fear of your God. Help those in need, and lay your wrath down upon those who are deserving of it.

Tenants of Death

Pestilence: Disease needs to be cut off at the head. Those who cannot be cured are a plague, and will only cause more suffering. It is your duty to show mercy to those in need of a swift death.

Famine: Those who cannot afford the luxury of life deserve better. The pigs at the top who hoard spoils need to be taught a lesson. Make them just as hopeless as the ones they starve.

War: Humanity has always, and will always, destroy itself. War has become an important part of life, and will encroach upon even the calmest of lands. Show your enemies what it means to fear the Gods.

Conquest: The world should know the wrath your God holds, and should know to fear and respect it. For you are their shephard, and in your wake you shall bring suffering in their name.

Channel Divinity

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the following two channel divinity options:

Fear the Reaper: As an action, you may use your channel divinity to project the image of a creatures worst fear onto them. Each creature of your choice within a 30 foot radius must make a Wisdom Saving throw, or be frightened of you for the next minute. While frightened they must use their full action to dash as far away from you as possible. If the creature ends its turn in a location where they do not have a line of sight on you, they may make another saving throw.

Deadly Strike: You can use your Channel Divinity to make a weapon deadlier. As a bonus action, you touch one weapon or piece of ammunition and conjure a necrotic shroud around it. The shroud lasts for 1 minute. The next time you hit a target with an attack using that weapon or ammunition, the target takes necrotic damage immediately after the attack. The necrotic damage equals 2d10 + your paladin level.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
