Base Class: Barbarian
Highlanders are found in the remotest places of the world, where other people are driven out by the temperatures, monsters, and desolation. They learn to hold their own on sheer willpower and the warmth of their rage.
Shrug Off the Pain
Starting when you take the Path of the Highlander at level 3, you can use your rage as a means for holding yourself together in desperate circumstances. When you enter a rage, you can spend hit dice to recover hit points as if you were taking a short rest. You may spend as many hit dice as you like with this feature, but cannot heal hit points beyond half of your maximum.
Conserve Strength
When you take the Path of the Highlander at level 3, you have learned to survive on very little, with hunger being your constant companion. Double your Constitution modifier when you calculate how many days you can go without food before you start to suffer levels of exhaustion. In addition, you have advantage on Constitution saving throws to resist exhaustion when you do not drink enough water in a day.
See page 185 of the Player's Handbook for starvation and thirst rules.
Survivalist
Starting at 6th level, you have an extraordinary endurance that outpaces even most barbarians. If you fail a Constitution ability check or saving throw, you may spend 3 hit dice and instead succeed at the ability check or saving throw.
Invictus
Starting at level 10, when your hit points are reduced to 0, you can enter a rage as a reaction. Entering a rage in this way restores 1 hit point and allows you to use the Shrug Off the Pain ability.
Tundra Noble
At level 14, choose a damage type from: cold, fire, necrotic, poison, thunder. While enraged you are immune to this damage type.
