A more utility and control based warlock subclass.

Expanded Spell List

The Fiend lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Fiend Expanded Spells

Shadow Bond

Starting at first level you gain a shadow that can be seen but not hit. The shadow can move up to 100 feet away but must stay connected by at least dim light. The shadow can be sent to observe and act on free will, but remains loyal to you, however the shadow cannot speak. The shadow works as a mix of unseen servant and mage hand able to lift 10 pounds by pulling on the shadow of another object. The shadow shares your movement speed and moves on your initiative.

Dark Ally

Starting at 6th level your shadow is a bit more corporal. It counts as an ally for the propose or sneak attack and flanking. You can also use your action to have your shadow grapple an enemy by having them make a strength save against your spell save dc. Once per short rest your shadow can use your reaction to trip an enemy as an opportunity attack they make a dex save vs your spell save dc).

Shadowfell Transportation

Starting at 10th level you gain the ability to briefly step into and out of the shadow fell. Using this feature you and an up to 2 willing allies can swap places with your shadow using an action. This feature may be used twice per short or long rest.

Splitting Shadows

Starting at 14th level you can spend your action to have you shadow split and grappled and restrained. up to 7 enemies within 100ft. Each opponent makes a strength save against your spell save dc. Additional you can have more than one shadow grapple the same enemy. Each target grappled this way take 3d6 necrotic damage. This feature may only be used once per long rest. 

When a shadow's grapple is resisted the shadows vanish until just one remains.
