Base Class: Barbarian
The path of the brawler tosses weapons aside and focuses on making the user's body the weapon, improving unarmed strikes and raw ability. You love the feeling of cracking your knuckles against enemies jaws and throwing them around the battlefield like a rag doll.
Brawling
Beginning at 3rd level, you gain the ability to deliver devastating blows with your fists. You gain several benefits from this:
- You can roll a d6 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strikes. This die changes as you gain barbarian levels, increasing to a d8 at level 8, and a d10 at level 13
- You are now proficient with unarmed strikes, and they gain the light property.
- Beginning at level 8, when you use your bonus action to attack with an unarmed strike you may add your strength modifier to the damage.
Rage-Empowered Fists
Beginning at level 6, your rage is so strong that your fists defy logic. Your Brawling is now considered magic for the purpose of overcoming resistances.
Yeet!
At 10th level, you become capable of using not only your own body as a weapon, but other bodies. When grappling a creature, you can use the Shove action to throw that creature on a successful Strength (Athletics) check. The distance you throw the creature is a number of feet equal to 5 x your Strength modifier. The creature takes damage equal to your Brawling weapon damage, in addition to falling damage for the distance they were thrown. If the thrown creature hits an object or other creature when being thrown, that object or other creature takes half the damage dealt to the thrown creature.
Brutal Counter
Beginning at 14th level your rage allows you to completely negate a melee attack and then strike back even harder. While raging if you are hit by an attack you can use your reaction to attack back at the target, you roll to attack and if you roll higher than the attack from the attacker the attack you take no damage from the attack and you deal your Brawling damage and for every 5 higher that you rolled than the attacker you deal an extra dice from your Unarmed Strike.
