Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

There exist many tales of magic-users that channeled their latent power for fame and glory, and there exists even more stories of those that borrow strength from their god, only a select few of these were given power from a god at birth. These are the Foreordained, masters of a select pair of schools of magic. They know and wield secrets whispered to their soul, and this knowledge infuses them with the very essence of magic itself.

This subclass is presented below using the schools of Abjuration and Illusion, but feel free to work with your GM to determine appropriate replacement spells and abilities.

Gifts of the Marked

Beginning at 1st level, you have blindsight with a range of 10 feet.

At 3rd level in this class, you learn mirror image, and it does not count against your number of sorcerer spells known. Additionally, you may cast it by expending 2 sorcery points or a spell slot. If cast with sorcery points, you may choose to target any target within 30 feet.

Foreordained Spells

The following Foreordained spells are added to the sorcerer list for you:

Each time you gain a new spell level in this class, add a Foreordained spell of that spell level to your list of spells known, and it does not count against the number of spells known for you. For example, when you reach 3rd character level, you choose either the 2nd level spell arcanist's magic aura or silence and add it to your list of spells known.

In addition, you may spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spell's level to cast a Foreordained spell without expending a spell slot, as long as you can cast a spell of that level. A spell cast this way does not need to be among your spells known, requires no verbal or somatic components, and does not require a material component unless it has a cost.

Finally, your connection to your god gives you access to the thaumaturgy cantrip as a Foreordained spell. Add it to your list of spells known, and it does not count against the number of spells known for you.

Versatile Magic

Starting at 6th level, the cost of using metamagic for your Foreordained spells is reduced by one sorcery point (to a minimum of zero.) You ignore the material components of Foreordained spells you cast unless they have a cost, and may expend one sorcery point when casting a Foreordained spell with a costly material component requirement to ignore that requirement. In addition, at the end of a short or long rest, you may swap a Foreordained spell known with another Foreordained spell of same level. You may do this with a number of spells equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1.)

Greater Foreordained Spells

At 14th level, all Foreordained spells can be cast for a number of sorcery points equal to two less than their spell level without expending a spell slot, to a minimum of zero, and you no longer need to expend sorcery points to apply metamagic to Foreordained spells you cast.

Foreordained Spell Mastery

Beginning at 18th level, you add all spells on the Foreordained spell list to your list of spells known, and they do not count against the number of spells known for you.
