Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

The School of the Forgotten Arts teaches its spellcasters to expand their minds to be able to learn more spells and be able to cast spells from any spell list. They do this through methods of old, that most have forgotten about. The school is more of a secret society then a traditional school. Wizards have to be invited to attend and only then do they realize to school is more then a story others tell.

Spellcasting Savant

Starting at 2nd level, you have learned how to tap into unused portions of your brain. Thus letting you prepare a number of spells per day equal to your Intelligence Modifier + Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Wizard Level.

In addition when you learn new spells at each level, you now learn 3 spells instead of 2. They can be from any spell list and one can be a cantrip. If you pick a cantrip as one of your new spells it doesn't  count toward the number of cantrips know. All spells picked are considered wizard spells and use your Intelligence as your spellcasting ability.

Improved Prestidigitation

Improved Prestidigitation

Also at 2nd level, you learn the prestidigitation cantrip. If you already know this cantrip, you learn a different wizard cantrip of your choice. The cantrip doesn’t count against your number of cantrips known.

When you cast prestidigitation, the range of effect increases to 60 feet, and you may alternatively create any effects from the druidcraft or thaumaturgy cantrips, the duration of these effects will last up to an hour unless it would normally be instantaneous. If you cast this spell multiple times, you can now have up to four of its non-instantaneous effects active at a time, and you can dismiss such an effect as an action.

Forgotten Secrets

At 6th level you have learned the forgotten ways of spellcasting. Thus making it harder to counter or dispel your spells. Anyone trying to do so does at disadvantage. Also your spell Critical range is now a 18-20 on any spell that requires a speel attack roll.

In addition you have researched so much that you have become a fountain of knowledge on an array of topics. You now proficient in the Arcana, History, Nature and Religion Skills. If you are already proficient in any of these skill, you gain Expertise in that skill and add double your proficiency bonus to that skill.

Expanded Memory

Beginning at 10th level, your intense study's has caused your mind to become increasingly resistant to fatigue. When you use your Arcane Recovery, the spell slots recovered can now have a combined level that is equal to or less then three quarters your wizard level.

Also the time and cost spent to copy spells into your spell book is reduced by half.

Master of the Arts

Beginning at 14th level, your study of magic has helped you understand the power that drives arcane spellcasting. You have studied the art of arcane casting and are able to anticipate its effects. You add the spell Counterspell to your spellbook if you do not already have it.  As a reaction you may cast this spell at  its lowest level without expending a spell slot. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. All expended uses are regained after a long rest.

Additionally your knowledge of magic theory has allowed you to recognize ways to circumvent the dangers of magically empowered foes. You have advantage on saving throws against spells and you are resistance to magic. If you are the only target of a spell which requires a saving throw and you succeed on your saving throw, you take no damage and suffer no ill effects.

If you are the only target of a spell of 4th level or below and you succeed on your saving throw you are able to siphon some of the magic used against you and regain a number of spell slots equal to the level of that spell. You can siphon magic this way a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. You regain any expended uses of this feature after a long rest.
