Base Class: Ranger
Whether they pursue a bounty for the law, a guild, or the criminal underground, the skillset of a Bounty Hunter is something to be respected - and feared. These rangers elect to use their expertise in hunting and tracking for a much more different purpose compared to members of other Conclaves, with some Bounty Hunters even being treated as outcasts by other rangers.
Mark
By 3rd level, you have become adept at tracking your foes. Choose a single creature you can see, or of whom you have a depiction or description. You must spend 10 minutes concentrating on them, after which they become your Mark. You deal an extra 1d6 damage to your Mark whenever you hit it with a weapon attack, as well as adding your proficiency bonus to your initiative roll when engaging your Mark.
You may only have one mark at a time. If you select a new Mark, you lose these benefits toward the original.
You may select two marks at once when you reach 7th level, three at 11th level, and 4 at 15th level.
Bounty Hunting Methods
At 3rd level, you choose a method of information collection that you use while tracking down a target. For a number of hours equal to half your level rounded down, you are proficient in skill checks made to track down, gather information, or anything your DM might count as part of the process of pursuing a Mark. If you are already proficient in a skill, your proficiency bonus is doubled for the duration of this feature. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Fixer
Whether promising a bribe to a local or interrogating your Mark’s affiliate, your verbal gravitas is an asset to finding leads. You add your Bounty Hunting bonus to all Charisma skill checks.
Operative
Knowledge is power - in this case, your understanding of certain procedures to aid in your pursuits. You add your Bounty Hunting bonus to all Intelligence skill checks.
Solo
One’s awareness is vital to the profession of bounty hunting. You add your Bounty Hunting bonus to all Wisdom skill checks.
Tools of the Trade
At 11th level, you hone your skills with the equipment used in your profession. While concentrating on finding your Mark, you may choose any weapon in your inventory and prepare it to better fit the job. After this process, when you deal damage against a Mark they take extra damage equal to the ability score modifier your Bounty Hunting Method is based on. You can prepare a number of weapons equal to half your level rounded down.
Alive or Cold
At 7th level, you learn to ensure that no one escapes you. If a creature leaves a 25 ft. radius around you, you can use your reaction to move up to speed to them and take an opportunity attack. If the attack hits, the creature's speed is reduced to 0.
Additionally, when engaging your Mark you can add a 1d6 to any attack roll. You may do this a number of times equal to the ability score modifier your Bounty Hunting Method is based on (minimum of 1).
Complicated Profession
At 15th level, you’ve garnered more than enough experience to make you a master of your trade. When in combat, you can choose any enemy within sight to become your Mark. You may only do this once per round.
