Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Diviner is an art used by mystics and soothsayers. The way is most commonly taught in temples that house prophets. Those of this technique are able to open themselves to the divine senses and imbue magical properties into there weapon of choice, most commonly tarot cards. These monks are typically guards of prophets' temples. They are rarely seen outside of the temples unless sent by their prophet to fulfill a divine duty, such as the defense of a person, defeating a monster, or joining a group of adventurers to stop or hasten a future seen by the prophet. Some diviners are sent out as guards to nobles, protectors of children who would one day become something great, or as a traveling do-gooder.

Divine Technique

At 3rd level, Diviners are able to imbue their Ki into their deck of cards allowing them to make ranged unarmed attacks. Damage is equal to the unarmed strike dice used for the monk's current level. They have a range of 60/100ft. They are still able to use abilities that would use a melee attack to execute such as Flurry of blow and Stunning strike.

Divine Ki

At 6th level, a Diviner can spend 2 Ki imbue a card with Divine Ki as a bonus action.

  • The diviner can imbue the card with Fiery Ki and the next creature hit by a ranged unarmed strike takes an additional 1d6 fire damage. The Diviner may spend an additional 1 Ki per 1d6 additional fire damage. If the fire damage is equal to or more than 3d6 then it becomes a large explosion causing any creature within a 30 ft radius (with an additional 10ft added per 1d6 above 3d6) to make a dexterity saving throw, on a success they take half damage, on a fail they take full damage and are knocked prone
  • The Diviner can imbue the card with Blinding Ki. When the card is thrown it emits a blinding flash of light causing a creature to take an additional 1d6 divine damage and any creatures within 60 feet to become blind for one round.

Divine Intutition

At 11th level, once per long rest a Diviner can spend 4 Ki as a bonus action to open there mind to the divine forces and see a few seconds into the future for 10 minutes. When a diviner is open to divine forces they gain advantage on attack rolls, enemies gain disadvantage on attack rolls against them, and they gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws.

Divine Body

At 17th level, a monk with full mastery over the divine can open themselves to it completely allowing it to flow through their body. Once per long rest a diviner can let the divine energies flow through themselves for 1 hour and gain +1 to all ability checks and saving throws. They are able to see farther and in dimmer light allowing them to gain 100 ft dark vision. They become faster allowing them to make 1 additional unarmed strike per round. After that hour is up they get disadvantage on all ability checks and saving throws till they take a short rest.
