Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Enlightenment is a vow of learning and strategy. In times of war or peace, these paladins are valuable teachers or strategic leaders. Gods such as Ioun, Athena, Selûne, Oghma, Vecna, and others who value the pursuit and protection of knowledge could have paladins of this oath among their ranks.

Tenets of Enlightenment

Reason. By using logical thinking and reasoning, you analyze truth in the world. As in nature or with the gods, there is a logical path to understanding by means of reason.

Skepticism. Question everything, and you will find greater knowledge. Be cautious, but not afraid of action.

Progress. You must not stay idle. Search, ponder, interact, pry, ask. Information is a catalyst to enlightenment. Mountains are not often moved overnight, and any progress is worthy.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Boon of the Knowing. As a bonus action, you may discern some insight on one of your foes within 30ft. You learn the following from the DM:
-What the creature’s Armor Class is, and what two of it’s primary ability scores of your choice are (Str, Dex, Con, Int, Wis, and Cha)
-What the creature’s resistances, immunities and vulnerabilities are, if any.

Bring to Light. As an action you can undermine your foes efforts against you. Each creature of your choosing within 30ft of you up to 1+ your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1) must make a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
