Pressure Points

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your opponents' bodies against them. By spending 1 ki point after you hit an opponent you can impose one of the following effects on that target:

  • It must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls until the end of your next turn.
  • It must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or make an unarmed melee attack against a creature of your choosing within its melee range.
  • It must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw or take psychic damage equal to your martial arts die.
  • It must succeed on a Strength saving throw or drop one held weapon.

Paralytic Stun

At 6th level, you learn to better freeze opponents' nerves. When you use your Stunning Strike the target has disadvantage on their saving throw.

Synaptic Terror

Beginning at 11th level, your attacks implant anxiety in your opponents. Once per turn when you hit a target with an unarmed strike, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn. The save DC for this effect is 8 plus your proficiency bonus plus your Wisdom modifier.

Constructs and Undead are immune to this effect.

Freezing Jolt

At 17th level, your ability to lock joints becomes unparalleled. When you hit a creature with an unarmed melee attack you can spend 3 ki points to perform a freezing jolt. If the target has 150 hit points or fewer, it is stunned. Otherwise, it takes 6d10 psychic damage. The stunned target must make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a successful save, this stunning effect ends.
