Monk
Base Class: Monk

A stalwart peasent stands alone before an ogre, and raises his arms to defiantly block a blow that should have crumpled him to the dust. An unarmed noblewoman snatches an assassin's arrow from the air with one hand, and only notices the second arrow when it bounces off of her skin. A dragon rushes headlong towards the city that dare oppose it, as a being of untold might, unarmed and unarmored, cuts through the sky to meet it in battle.

These are Paragons, dreamnt into being by the dying star Aerani, natural defenders of the world. Defying the laws of physics and reaching the pinaccle of mortal fortitude, they stand alone against those who would do harm to the defenseless.

Most of those who follow the Way of the Paragon don't understand that they're monks at all, for their tradition was born from Aerani, a sentient star in the Plane of Dreams. Though Quori or Kalashtar are most likely to awaken the power of this tradition by dreaming it from a past life, others might find themselves saddled with the weight of fate and the responsibility of destiny that inevitably confronts a Paragon.

Body of Steel

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you become a stalwart bastion against the dangers of the world. Whenever you take non-psychic damage, reduce that damage by an amount equal to your Constitution modifier. Also at 3rd level, your hit point maximum increases by 3 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.

Mighty Defense

Also beginning at 3rd level, you may use Strength, rather than Dexterity to calculate your Unarmored Defense.

Preternatural Sense

At 6th level, you gain the ability to focus on the world around you with preturnatural senses. You may spend a Ki point as a reaction to gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks for 1 minute.

Unbound Motion

Beginning at 11th level, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.

Living Legend

At 17th level, you gain the ability to shrug off effects that might otherwise destroy an ordinary being. Whenever you would fail a saving throw you may spend 4 Ki points to choose to succeed instead.
