Monk
Base Class: Monk

Through relaxed movement and honing of techniques, you have gained the ability to move within an enemy's range and deal multiple blows without retaliation. Favoring a narrow stance to protect the body and close elbows for quick strikes, without flourish conserving as much energy as possible. You aim for the primary vital points down the center of the body; neck, chest, belly, and groin. You shift and turn to maneuver your punches and kicks to avoid damage from your enemy while striking. Mental and physical toughness is paramount for a monk of the Unrelenting Fist.

Primary Stat Wisdom.

Chain Punch

Your fists naturally know the weak points in your enemy's guard.

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this tradition, you can spend a ki point to take another attack at half damage. You sacrifice all movement and bonus actions to attack. Imply the following conditions to the strike:

  • You must pass a DC 10 WIS saving throw with advantage, increasing by one for each subsequent attack (i.e. 11, 12, 13...).
  • For each attack that hits you may attack again without spending a ki point, upon failure your turn ends. Take no reaction, movement, or bonus action.
  • You may choose not to attack again to recover half your remaining movement.
  • At 7th lv. you get a +5 to the damage dealt by your blows, this is not halved.

Softness and Relaxation

The performance of techniques in a relaxed and controlled manner, focusing on breathing, energy, and force, has honed your endurance. Your physical and mental exercise during times of rest has allowed you to store away ki within your body when you need it.

At 6th level, once per long rest, you can regain one-third of your ki points as a bonus action. You regain this ability after a long rest.

Forceful Strikes

After attuning your body with hours of practice and training your fists now vibrate to the resonant frequency of whatever you strike.

Beginning at 11th level, you can spend a ki point to add 1d4 force damage to your strikes.

One Inch Punch

At 17th level, closing to point-blank range as a reaction after taking melee damage you may spend 3 ki points to retaliate. Roll a DC 15 WIS saving throw to succeed.

Upon success, deal 5d10 force damage. The enemy must succeed a DC 15 CON saving throw or they are now stunned for one turn.

Unrelenting Instinct

You have achieved through discipline and patience a meditative state beyond that of mortal means. A heavenly glow surrounds your body and your eyes flare with understanding.

You may spend 8 ki points to enter this state.

When in this state the following conditions apply:

  1. You can not be surprised, charmed, or frightened.
  2. Your AC increases by 5.
  3. You may make an extra attack with your bonus action.
  4. You have advantage on all unarmed strikes, all enemies have disadvantage against you.
  5. Your fists do an automatic 30+15 force damage. On critical this damage is tripled.
  6. You may not use any other techniques that require ki points with this state active.
  7. This state remains active for a total of 30 minutes.
  8. After this technique has expired you take 4 points of exhaustion.
