Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Yin-Yang Warrior channel the strife of their spiritual battles, reflecting their struggle between good and evil. Their ki manifests from their intentions, either shrouded and cold for murder and death, or warm and inviting for intentions of salvation. The crux of the monk's spiritual journey stems from choice, as it always has. Some embrace the dark and become calm killers in the night. Others walk in light, saving allies and only harming when necessary. Few have achieved a perfect balance, called spiritual equilibrium.

The monk views good and evil as subjective, depending on circumstance. What one sees as just may be interpreted as primitive. How each monk chooses to interpret a situation effects how far they fall, or how high they rise.

Hands of Healing

Your mystical touch can mend wounds. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to touch a creature and restore a number of hit points equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die + your Wisdom modifier.

Hands of Harm

You use your ki to inflict wounds. When you use your Flury of Blows, all damage you deal becomes necrotic damage.

Shrouded Discordance

The war of good and evil wages inside of you and manifests itself in your fighting style. You gain the following benefits:

Shroud of Fury: Your anger flares into a dark fog when you channel your ki. Necrotic damage dealt by your Flury of Blows overcomes necrotic resistances.

When you use your Flurry of Blows, you may spend 1 additional ki point to force the target to make a Constitution saving thrown on hit. On a failed save, the target becomes poisoned and takes 1 roll of your martial dice in necrotic damage at the start of your turn for 1 minute.

Shroud of Peace: You radiate hope when you empower your allies. When you use your Hands of Healing on an ally other than yourself, your ally becomes shrouded in a golden mist. Until the start of your next turn, all attacks against that ally are made at disadvantage.

Crux of the Soul

Your spirit must choose its ultimate side. You gain the following benefits:

Soul of Hatred: You soul sides with the overwhelming darkness and harnesses into pain. When you use your Flurry of Blows, you may spend 2 additional ki points to gain the following benefits:

- You may add your Wisdom modifier to your attack and damage rolls.
- On hit, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes necrotic damage equal to 2 rolls of your Martial Arts die and becomes frightened for 1 minute.

Soul of Purity: Your soul sides with the warming light and harnesses into salvation. Your Hands of Healing ability gains the following benefits:

- You now roll 2 Martial Arts dice when healing instead of 1
- When you restore hit points to a creature, you may also choose to end one disease or condition that effects them from any of the following: blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or poisoned.

Zen Strike

You have achieved inner peace, and are fully aware of your good and evil tendencies. As an action, you may spend 3 ki points to forgo your bonus action and make a single melee attack. On hit, the target takes necrotic damage equal to 5 rolls of your Martial Arts dice. After this attack, all allies within 30 feet of you are healed an amount equal to half of the damage you dealt, rounded up.

You may use this feature once per long rest.
