Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A Pit Brawler revels in bare-knuckle boxing matches held in the back room of seedy taverns as much as in adventuring.

Unarmed combat and improvised weapon damage

Your unarmed and improvised weapon attacks deal 1d4 damage. The damage die increases based on your levels of Pit Brawler as follows: at level 6 it increases to a d6, at level 12 it increases to a d8, and at level 18 it increases to a d12. Starting at level 6, your skill at pummeling enemies with whatever is readily available is uncanny; your unarmed and improvised weapon attacks count as magical for the purposes of overcoming damage resistances.

Bare-knuckles and Bar Stools

Your years of fighting with bare knuckles in smokey back rooms and alleyways has made you particularly adept at dealing damage with bare fists and improvised weapons such as wine bottles, ale steins and bar stools.

You can roll a d4 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strike or improvised weapon. This damage die increases as you gain additional levels in Pit Brawler.

When you use the Attack action to make an attack with your bare fists or with an improvised weapon, you can use your Bonus Action to make an additional Unarmed attack.

I Can Take a Punch

Beginning at 6th level, when you use Reckless Attack while raging, you also gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). They vanish if any of them are left when your rage ends.

Into the Melee

Beginning at 10th level, you  can take the Dash action as a bonus action while you are raging. If you take the Dash while raging, you can move through spaces occupied by other creatures and such spaces do not count as difficult terrain.

Trading Blows

Starting at 14th level, when a a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, you can immediately make one unarmed attack against the attacker if you are raging and aren’t incapacitated. This attack does not use your Reaction. You can make a number of these attacks per round equal to your Constitution modifier, minimum of 1.
