Base Class: Warlock
"I have a new device for you! This one shouldn't explode either!"
Professor Jorza to his 4th Test Subject
Your Patron is a mad scientist, mechanist, or alchemist, obsessed with pushing the boundaries of both science and magic, sometimes both at the same time. You may have been selected as a willing test subject or an unlucky experiment. These people typically have little care for morality or reputation or even wealth as we know it, sacrificing it all in the pursuit of devilish creations of magi-tech. They care little for the uses of their creations, pursuing knowledge for it's own sake and needs somebody to help them "work out the kinks". Examples of these patrons are Q from James Bond
Smoke Bomb
Starting at 6th leveI, you can vanish in a puff of mist in response to harm. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to turn invisible and teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You remain invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack or cast a spell.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Adaptive Armor
Starting at 10th leveI, you can choose one damage type when you finish a short or long rest. You gain resistance to that damage type until you choose a different one with this feature. Damage from magical weapons or silver weapons ignores this resistance.

You patron has found a way to store magical energy in technological devices they call "batteries". You can use these batteries to cast spells instead of spell slots. You also gain access to more powerful batteries as you level up. You get a first level battery at level 1, a second level battery at level 6, a third level battery at level 10, and a fourth level battery at level 14. These batteries are replenished after a short or long rest.
