Base Class: Fighter
The Brawler is skilled with unarmed attacks. Capable of delivering powerful attacks that can knock out those in one blow, and even kill them.
The longer the fight, the more dangerous the brawler is.
Brawler Fists
When you select this archetype at 3rd level, you gained the following benefits with unarmed strikes while either wearing light armor or no armor:
- You may use Dexterity instead of Strength for your unarmed strikes.
- You can roll a d4 in place of the normal damage for unarmed strikes. This die changes to a d6 at level 5, d8 at level 11, d10 at level 17
- When you attack with an unarmed strike, you may make an unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Grit
When you choose the archetype at 3rd level, you gain grit equal to your fighter level. Grit allows you to perform additional actions and enhance your fighting abilities.
Some grit actions require a saving throw.
Grit Save DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Constitution modifier
Brawler Footwork
You are accustomed with stepping in and out of your opponents. You may spend 1 grit and take either Dash or Disengage as a bonus action on your turn.
Enduring Grit
When you are hit by an attack, as a reaction you may spend 1 grit point to reduce the damage you take by 1d4 + your proficiency bonus + Constitution Modifier.
The die value increases with your Unarmed Strike die. d6 at level 5, d8 at level 11, d10 at level 17.
Flurry of Blows
Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 grit point to make two unarmed strikes as a bonus action.
Haymaker
At 7th level your punches generate enough force to break through any defense.
Your unarmed strikes are considered magicial when resolving resistances.
When using an Attack action to make an unarmed strike, you may spend 1 grit point to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attach hits, you add +10 to the attacks damage.
Tough Guy
At 10th level, your body has grown accustomed to being beaten, cut, and stabbed. When your Hit Points is below half of your maximum (rounded down) you take half damage from bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
Your stamina is also improved through rigorous training. You gain 2 additional Hit Points for each Fighter Level you have.
Grit Armor
You have trained your muscles to be a tough as steel. You have resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
When attacked you may user your reaction to spend 1 or more grit points to increase your AC by 1 per grit point spent. You may use this after seeing the result of the attack.
Showstopper
At 18th level your strength becomes overwhelming. Your unarmed strikes now deal force damage instead of bludgeoning damage.
When using your Haymaker feat for an Attack action, double your proficiency bonus for your attack roll. A successful hit is an automatic critical hit. On a failed Constitution save, the target creature is also stunned, along with being pushed 5 feet and knocked prone.
