Base Class: Monk
Monks of the way of the enlightened mage follow a unique tradition that teaches them how to harness arcane energy using their ki. When you channel your ki you're not only increasing your physical prowess, but also shaping the energy of your body and the universe to perform feats of magic similar to most arcane spellcasters.
Ki point Spellcasting
Instead of spell slots, you cast spells using your ki points with a save DC of (the spell level+proficiency+wisdom) and you don’t need an arcane focus or material components (unless they are consumed by the spell) sense your body and ki act as a catalyst for your magic.
You can also learn three cantrips from the wizard spell list (casting them cost no ki)
1st level spell: 2 ki points
2nd level spell: 3 ki points
3rd level spell: 4 ki points
4th level spell: 5 ki points
5th level spell: 6 ki points
6th level spell: 7 ki points
7th level spell: 8 ki points
8th level spell: 9 ki points
9th level spell: 10 ki points
Arcane Dabbler: You gain proficiency in the Arcana skill, if you are already proficient in arcana, you instead gain expertise.
Spell Preparation:
Much like a cleric or druid you can prepare a number of spells equal to half your Monk level + your wisdom modifier whenever you finish a long rest.
Deflect Magic
Your quick reflexes along with your Arcane prowess allow you to use your Deflect Missiles ability on Ranged Spell Attacks that target you, the damage is reduced by 1d12+ your Wisdom modifier + your monk level.
If you reduce the damage to zero you can seize control of the spell, if at least one of your hands are free. If you seize control of a spell in this way you can cast the spell using your spell save using the same reaction.
Spell Syphon
If a spellcaster fails its save against your Stunning strike ability, they lose their lowest level spell slot and you regain a number of ki points equal to the spell slot level.
However in order to do this you have to expend an additional ki point above stunning strike's normal cost.
Enlightened Mage
You can choose to cast any spell from the wizard spell list at its highest possible spell level using your ki. Doing this drains all of your ki (Requiring a minimum of 5ki to cast at all) and you can’t take any actions for the round after this. You can only use this ability once per long rest.
