Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Stepping out from behind a pillar, the dark warrior revealed himself, a towering hulk of muscle and anger wielding a grand axe and a jeweled dagger at his side. He split his arm with the dagger, the claret dancing up and forming a fine red mist in the air as well as alighting a crimson rage in his eyes. A fervent, demonic howl escaped him as he flew into a fury, slaughtering everyone before him, setting fire to the splashing blood of those he clove in twain to burn the minds of those who remained, causing them to attempt to flee in abject terror.

The warrior walked from the battlefield, soaking the excess blood into his skin through glowing scarlet tattoos that repaired what little damage his doomed victims had inflicted.

The secrets of blood magic, once known only to blood hunters and the most dreadful and committed of mages, have revealed themselves to you, with all their grisly and horrifying implications. You've become one of the few to survive the knowledge and initiation into the way, keeping your mind and body intact, and enabling you to devour your foes' power.

While blood mages consume their own essence to empower their spells, ravagers prefer to use the blood of those they've split open with an axe or sword in order to harden their skin and strengthen their rage. Their startling control over their own emotions allow them to not only calm themselves to rid themselves of foreign influence, but also to project fear into the minds of their enemies.

Bloodrage

At 3rd level, you learn to harvest power from blood and apply it to your rage. Whenever you enter a rage, you take damage equal to your Constitution modifier and gain temporary hit points equal to your barbarian level + your Constitution modifier. Additionally, the first time you hit a creature on your turn while raging, you deal an extra 1d4 force damage with the attack and gain an equal number of temporary hit points.

Horrifying Fervor

At 6th level, your fury manifests as infectious terror in the minds of your enemies when you make a savage attack. Whenever you score a critical hit with a weapon attack, you can choose a number of creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier within 30 ft. of you and force them to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency modifier + your Wisdom modifier) or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Soothe Blood

At 6th level, your control over your blood and emotions enhances so that you can rid yourself of others' influence. You can take an action to end one effect causing you to be charmed or frightened.

Devour Essence

At 10th level, you gain knowledge as to how to devour the lifeblood of your foes. You can take a special action while you are raging to make a single melee weapon attack. On a hit, the attack deals normal damage plus a number of d8 force damage equal to your Constitution modifier. You regain hit points equal to the force damage dealt by the attack.

You can use this action once. You regain use of it when you finish a short or long rest.

Bleeding Frenzy

At 14th level, your rage is strengthened by the constant spilling of blood. You can take an action when you enter a rage to transform the rage into a bleeding frenzy, causing yourself to take force damage equal to your barbarian level at the start of each of your turns until your rage ends. While you are taking this damage, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action. This extra attack deals 1d4 force damage, or 1d8 if you are at half or less of your hit points.
