Base Class: Warlock
As a Pact of the Hunter warlock, you find and send souls of the deceased to your patron, to sate their endless hunger. Perhaps sometime in your life, you were threatened to be consumed, and made a deal to satisfy its hunger with other souls, or maybe you believed that if you selected the souls for its insatiable hunger, you would prevent more innocent deaths. Regardless of the reason for forming a pact with your patron, you have become linked to it, feeling its desire to consume, and granting souls to slack its thirst.
Expanded Spell List
Having made a pact with a proficient hunter of souls, you have gained some of its predatory capabilities. Whenever you have the option to choose a spell from your spell list, you can choose any spell from either the warlock or the ranger spell list. Additionally, you learn the cantrip Eldritch Arrow (can be found in homebrew spells on dndbeyond), and when you cast it you can choose between the damage being psychic damage or necrotic damage.
Soul Hunger
Starting at first level, you can feed souls to your patron to satisfy their hunger. As a bonus action, if a creature has died in the last 5 minutes, you can press your hand onto them, and disintegrate them, teleporting the creature to your patron. If you do so, you gain a fraction of their soul, regaining 1/2 of your level (rounded up) hit points, with the excess hit points turning into temporary hit points. You can use this ability once per long rest, and gain a second use of it at 10th level.
Growing Hunger
Starting at 6th level, you can pull a larger portion of the soul from your patron when you send a creature to them. Whenever you consume a creature as per your Soul Hunger ability, you gain all of the normal benefits, as well as creating a single dart of energy, that flies at the nearest enemy. This dart is considered a magic missile, and deals 2d4 force damage.
Instincts of the Hunter
At 10th level, you have become further proficient in the hunt of souls for your patron. Whenever you cast Eldritch Arrow, you can now choose to change the damage type to any of the following: Magical Bludgeoning, Magical Piercing, Acid, Necrotic, and Cold.
Soul Rift
Starting at 14th level, you can channel the hunger of your patron to consume the souls of your enemies. As an action, you can summon your spectral bow, firing an arrow at a point within 60 feet of you. The arrow tears open a rift at the point you choose, allowing your patron to feed on the energies of your enemies within a 30 foot sphere. The area is considered difficult terrain, and effects up to 3 creatures of your choice. If a creature begins its turn in, or moves into, the area affected by this ability, they take 4d10 necrotic damage, and have to make a constitution saving throw. If they fail, they are pulled 15 feet closer to the rift, moving no distance if they succeed. Should a creature die while in the area affected by this ability, they are consumed as if you used soul hunger, providing the same benefits so long as you have the uses remaining to do so. This ability has a duration of one minute, and you regain the use of it after taking a long rest.
