Base Class: Warlock
Some warlocks seek to harness their own life force as another resource to be spent in order to gain power. These warlocks seek the patronage of a lich, a being that has long since made use of its own natural life force.
A Facade of Fortitude
As an action you can bestow yourself with a necromantic facsimile of life, gaining 1d4+4 Temporary Hit Points for 1 hour.
At 7th level this increases to 2d4+4, at 11th to 3d4+4, and at 15th level to 4d4+4.
Truth in Blood
You can spend 10 minutes meditating on the blood of a dead creature who has not yet dried to experience everything it has experienced within the last 24 hours. This includes the feeling of its death, and as such an experience is reeling and cannot be used again until you complete a long rest.
Bloodletting
Starting at 6th level you can use your bonus action to reap power directly from your own lifeforce reducing your current and maximum hit points by 5 + your pact spell slot level to regain one pact spell slot. You cannot use this feature if it would reduce your current of maximum hitpoints to below 1. Your maximum hit points are returned to their normal number when you complete a long rest.
Hanging on by a Thread
You have grown comfortable with survival at the edge of mortality. Starting at 10th level, whenever Bloodletting would reduce your current or maximum hitpoints to below 1, it reduced them to 1 instead.
Proxy Phylactery
You have learned to create a facsimile of your patron's phylactery. Starting at 14th level, you can spend 8 hours to create a minor phylactery tied to your patron. Doing so requires the freshly dead corpses of 3 medium sized creatures. If you die after forging a proxy phylactery, your soul becomes bound inside your patron's phylactery. While trapped this way you are completely at your patron's mercy and must convince them to release you and grant you a new form. You lose this feature if your patron's phylactery is ever destroyed.
