Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

You have been wronged- whether a loved one was killed, something precious stolen, or you received punishment for something you didn't do, your rage always hearkens back to a moment, a memory, or an experience. Those who follow the Path of Revenge will go to any ends to seek their vengeance, even forsaking their own safety to see the source of their rage destroyed.

If you achieve your goal and have your revenge, you may enter a time of restlessness. Many Barbarians' thirst for blood may not be satisfied, and they may find a new source of their rage, broadening their vengeance to include more wrongdoers, or even evil in general. Others may finally be able to rest, having reclaimed what was once theirs. Unfortunately, the path of revenge is one fraught with danger and misery, and rarely does it reward an angry soul.

Nemesis

Something did this to you, and you will stop at nothing to destroy that thing. Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can mark creatures for death. You choose one creature that you are aware of, have seen or received a detailed description of, and relates to your mission of revenge in a discernible way. That creature becomes your Nemesis until you have killed, interrogated, or otherwise gleaned all use from them. Once you have finished with your nemesis, you can immediately choose another to pursue. Though your list of nemeses may be long, you can only actively pursue one at a time.

When you come into visual contact with your nemesis, you can use a bonus action to fly into a Fury. A fury functions like a rage, but does not count against your daily rages, and lasts as long as your nemesis is in visual range, to a maximum of minutes equal to your Barbarian level. If you lose track of your nemesis for 1 turn, the fury ends.

In addition to the benefits of a standard rage, your fury gains the following benefits.

  • You can take the Dash action as a Bonus Action if you move directly toward your nemesis
  • Attacks made against your nemesis are at advantage, while attacks against any other creature are at disadvantage
  • You add a bonus to any Wisdom (Perception) or Wisdom (Survival) check to track your nemesis equal to your rage attack bonus.

Relentless Hunter

You are ever vigilant for your Nemesis. Your passive Wisdom (Perception) is at advantage regarding information about your Nemesis.

Additionally, you gain double proficiency in the Intimidation skill.

One-Track Mind

At 6th level, nothing will hold you back from your revenge. You gain proficiency in Wisdom and Charisma saving throws.

You can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is ended when you enter a rage.

Served Cold

Beginning at 10th level, the trail of dead nemeses has burned your name into the hearts of those who wronged you. Whenever you and your nemesis can see each other and are within 30 feet of each other, they must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be frightened of you for one minute. They can repeat their saving throw at the end of each of their turns. On a successful save, they are immune to this effect for 10 minutes.

Your enemies will not escape you again. When you make an opportunity attack against a creature and the attack hits, that creature falls prone.

Spirit of Vengeance

Starting at 14th level, you refuse to yield until your Nemesis lies dead. Whenever you use your Relentless Rage feature, you gain a bonus to your saving throw equal to your rage attack bonus. Additionally, each time you succeed on the saving throw to fall to 1 hit point, your hit points instead increase to equal your Barbarian level + your Constitution modifier.
