Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Command are fearless leaders and sharp tacticians. These bards, known as Commanders, are trained in certain calls, chants, and musical motifs that bring out strong reactions that are necessary in battle. With their powerful voices, Commanders are capable of bringing an entire rowdy tavern to attention, or turning a peaceful crowd into a furious mob. They inspire infectious confidence through their speeches, and their presences exude authority. The commands of these bards aren't heard; they are felt, like magic flowing into your bloodstream, pushing you to act.

Bonus Proficiencies

In order to become a Commander, you must have a keen mind and combat experience. When you join the College of Command at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and Wisdom saving throws. You can start using your voice as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells.

War Magic

When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a bard cantrip or bard spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the paladin spell list or bard spell list. In addition, you learn the Guidance cantrip. This counts as bard cantrip for you, but does not count against your number of cantrips known.

Bardic Command

Starting at 3rd level, you confidently lead your allies into combat. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.

Additionally, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and your bonus action to target an ally within 60 feet who is able to hear you. You may use one of the following Commands on them:

Command: Rally. You bolster your ally's resolve. That creature can use its reaction to attempt a save against one condition affecting it, adding your Bardic Inspiration die to the roll.

Command: Strike. You direct an ally to strike. That creature can use its reaction to make one weapon attack, adding your Bardic Inspiration die to the attack roll.

Command: Maneuver. You maneuver an ally into a more favorable position. That creature can use its reaction to move up to a number of feet equal to your Bardic Inspiration die x 5 without provoking opportunity attacks (minimum 15 feet).

Superior Countercharm

At 6th level, your quick reaction and strong voice snaps your allies to their senses. You can start your Countercharm performance as a reaction to an ally(s) making a saving throw.

After the saving throw, as a part of the same reaction, you can target that ally(s) with a Bardic Command. You expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration per ally targeted.

Masterful Command

At 14th level, you can swiftly command several allies at once. Whenever you use a Bardic Command option, you can apply the same Command to another creature within 20 feet of the original target. You must expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration for the first target. You roll a d6 for the second target.

Additionally, whenever you use your Bardic Command feature, can roll a d6 and use it instead of expending a Bardic Inspiration die.
